If that person also happens to still believe in a certain jolly gift-giver, it would be hard to miss the gigantic white-bearded man in red who had also come into the room through the chimney.  He climbs to his feet and dusts himself off while grumbling in a heavy Russian accent.]

I tell elves to clean chimney.  And do they do it?  No!  Dingle is going back on cookie duty, I am thinking.

And what is this?  [He waves the open journal around irritably, not knowing it was carrying his every word to those who could hear and writing down every word he spoke.]  Who leaves books just lying around?]

[He turns and takes in his new surroundings.]

Bah, there is no time for this!  It is only nine months left!


[ooc: Just to clarify, North can only be seen if you believe in him.  If a non-believer is in the lobby all they would see is an unexplainable puff of soot. His comments can be read on the journals if your character doesn't believe.]

[North sees the girl, but as he would expect from someone her age she doesn't see him. All children grew up, after all. Far too soon for some, they would all outgrow seeing the guardians. And so he steps around her as he brushes off the soot and leaves a few tracks in the carpet.]

Oh wait, you weren't supposed to see Santa, were you? At least that's what her parents told her. If Santa noticed you spying on him, he wouldn't leave any presents. So Dairine ducks behind a couch and hides. Can't see her now. Just ignore the books left on the ground.]

Namely, the book she had been reading for the past hour while curled up comfortably in a chair in the library. Marking her page she swapped the novel for the journal and looked to it curiously. ]

[ It was the same voice, albeit a change in the speech pattern. But maybe it was the same as it was with Bunnymund? ]

I hardly think cookie duty sounds like much of a punishment, but... I did not think elves could be made to clean anything they did not want. In fact, I would suggest not trying to force them, for your own good.

[This is aaaall ringing a few bells for Dave. He's met Bunnymund and he's heard vague mentions of Santa being a Legit Thing. Generally a 19 year old boy wouldn't believe in this stuff for a second, but Dave has become very open to the possibility of Santa existing. With everything else that's happened, why not?]
