Given where some of us are stuck right now, I suppose it bears asking - what are everyone's favorite films? I like action movies and musicals, personally, but it seems like we may... have a lot of time for movies this week.

Hmm. I don't actually watch many of those. 'Grizzly Man' was interesting, though. And everyone loves Shark Week.

Probably. The media library is quite extensive. And you can wish things up if they're not here already.

Hn. I haven't watched the entire Criterion collection. Yet.

I don't think watching a movie collection which includes a cannibal in a room full of people and only snack foods is the wisest move.

...People might get ideas.

I suppose. There are plenty of movies without cannibals in them I haven't seen. Horror is a little boring anyway. Real life is a lot more interesting.

Oh, I agree. Real life is always so very interested compared to the fabrications of the movies.

Yes. And I find many of the protagonists in horror films unlikeable. They all have remarkably poor tactical planning skills.

You just know they're all doomed from the second one of them says 'lets split up'.

That and the Token Ethnic Minority is doomed from the get go. Them or The Fat/Nerdy One.

Exactly. Whereas most of the large or particularly intelligent people I know would likely survive.

Really? [He makes an amused sound] Most people are stupid, panicky things once they're in danger, regardless of how smart they usually are.

I suppose the people I know are not 'most people', then.

Well, no. From what you've told me, the people you know are more than capable of taking care of themselves.

Mostly, yes.

...No. Sometimes they do extraordinarily stupid things.

People do have a tendency to do that, yes. Usually for what they believe are selfless reasons.

Or sometimes completely selfish ones.

Oh of course, that happens, too. People tend to like to kid themselves.

Kung-fu movies are excellent when one accepts that the blows are all heavily staged - I do enjoy the acrobatics, though.

Rictor does not like romantic comedies, so I have not seen many of those.

Yeah the acrobatics are cool! Especially when they fight on high places, like a bridge or a tower! [Fangirl mode: Activate]
