[Okay, those are definitely the letters that make up the word uh but the rest of it is just jumbled up nonsense. Still, Cass is just going to trust this thing is writing down what she's saying.]

I'm- lost. I think. Castle is big. In book room. Um, library. [Come on Cass, use the right names for things.] Could use [help] information. Um... tips? Meeting in person... would be best.

[Nothing happens for a minute, but then Cass remembers the important part about introductions: You have to actually introduce yourself.]

I'm Cassandra. Cain.

[If anyone does go looking for her, they'll find Cass poking through the books and possibly looking at them like she's reading them, but once you're close enough it's clear... she's holding the book upside down. Oops.]

[Talking is a relatively new thing for Cass, she's never been the best conversationalist and there's no telling what strangers do or don't know about Tim. Stephanie doesn't seem to be keeping secrets but if she can only hear a voice, can't read body language to be sure there's no lying going on, Cass will be careful for Tim's sake.]

I know Smallville. Have... friend, from there. Conner Kent? [Otherwise known as Superboy but again, she doesn't know if she can trust just a voice.]

Know about wishes. Losses... is new.

I've met Connor here. He left, though.

Basically, when you first arrive you lose something important. It can be an item, a memory, a power, a sense, or anything really. There are also temporary losses that something inflict people, and it can manifest in a number of unpredictable ways. It's good to always be on guard, and stay close to the people you trust.

I don't... feel like anything's missing.

[But that makes sense, she wouldn't realize anything was gone. She wouldn't know to miss it and that on it's own is a scary thought. She's quiet a minute, processing all that, before she replies.]

Nobody has ever figured out a way to get rid of their permanent loss, no. And it's not uncommon for you not to know what it is right away. It took me awhile to figure it out, too.

[Curious as she is, Cass doesn't ask what Lana's lost. It's not her place, she has no right to that information.]

[ That's not a reaction she usually gets, so it catches her a bit off guard. But Lana has gotten this far in Paradisa with only two people ever knowing about her loss, and they both have long since left and forgotten. ]

It's...irrelevant. I don't even miss it. But some people go through harder times, depending on what the loss is. Forgetting an important person seems to be the worst, in theory.

[For some reason that makes her feel so nostalgic and Cass doesn't even know why. It's like she misses something, but doesn't know what, but it passes fairly quickly and leaves her just feeling confused and a little lonely.]

Just over two and a half years, I think? ...Yeah. I was here before, only technically 'gone' for a couple months, but I don't remember my time before. The house I live in now is one I had built then, so at least I had a lot of useful information there, much more than the journal could have helped with.
