10th Little Hope ~ Action

[Vivi's hard at work roaming the halls with a large pillowcase stuffed full with paper flowers messily carefully cut out of brightly colored construction paper and a role of masking tape over her small wrist. She's been busy all morning taping the flowers to window, walls, doorways, suits of armor, and anything she can reach. Guess who was productive on Valentine's Day while she was stuck in her room! Care to join her? Or just stare at her as she acts strangely?]

[Whoops, she was about to stick a flower on your door but accidentally sticks it to your leg instead because she wasn't paying attention.]

[ >:(.................... adorable. he stares down at the sticker on his leg for a second before regarding her seriously. ]

No, it's fine. A splash of colour never hurt anyone.

[She stares up at him open-mouthed and then her face breaks into a grin.]

It's been so cold and cloudy lately I wanted to make it pretty!

[ he stoops so that he's closer to her level; no sense in making her crane her neck to look up at him. ]

That's a pretty big job. You sure you're up to it?

I think so! I've already done.... [she counts on her fingers three floors! At least what I could reach anyway. Some of the window ledges are too high for me to reach!

[If you look down the hallway, you may notice that all of the flowers are rather near the floor.]

[ he's still looking at her seriously, glancing down the hallway at her handiwork for a second ]

Three whole floors? You've been busy. I'd ask if you needed some help, but...

Could you help? You can put up the high ones!

I don't know; if anyone saw me, it might ruin my big bad reputation. What if I gave you a boost, and you stuck them up?

You sound like one of my papa's guards! [She giggles] A boost would be really helpful too!

[Connor smiles as he watches Vivi tape a flower to a pillar in the lobby]

Nicely done. This place could use a little color.

[She jumps a little, surprised, but grins at him.]

All the flowers are gone outside so I wanted to make it pretty in here!

Izzat so? How'd you like a wee bit've help gettin' 'em a bit higher than that?

That'd be awesome! Some places are way too tall here! [It's certainly not because she's on the short side, even for her age.]

[She takes his hand and curtsies a little awkwardly, her 'a princess always should be polite' training a little rusty.]

I'm Vivi Nefertari. It's very nice to meet you, sir.

[He grins. A curtsy? She's so adorable!]

An' It's nice t'meet you, too. Now. Let's see 'bout those flowers, shall we?

[she notices the paper flowers and starts following the trail. There's a chuckle when she finally spots the person responsible.]

Greetings, Vivi. Thou hast taken it upon thyself to redecorate the castle, we see.

[It's the pretty horsey she went adventuring with before! She sets her bag down and runs to her.]

Hi Princess Luna! You wanna help?

[It takes Vivi a short moment to understand that but she quickly grins even bigger and joyfully drags over the bag of flowers.]

I made a whole bunch, see! I was locked in my room for daaays and had nothing to do so I made these instead!

[note to self: use less outdated language, especially with kiddies.

She peers inside the bag and smiles at the girl.]

Thou - You were most productive. I must admit, I was not as creative as you during those few days.

Now, how can I help?

There wasn't much I could do so I had to do something or I'd go nuts!

[Clearly keeping someone confined to their room for two days was cruel and unusual torture. At least if that someone was 8 years old and used to running around all the time.]

Can you help me reach the high places and the windows? The castle's too big for someone like me! [You may notice that the previously taped flowers are all only a couple feet off the floor.]

[Her eyes widen with barely concealed excitement when Luna opens her wings. No, it's not polite to ask someone to take you flying even if it's the most tempting thing in the world.]

All the way up to the ceiling? Or at least the windows! So everyone can see them from outside too!

[she lies down on the floor to give the child easier access]

[yeah, she would only ever do this for cute kids. Adults would have to wait for some extremely dire emergency or something.]
