☽ 008 [ Waxing ] - - Action / Dictated / The morning after the Full / First Loss.
[ There's a rather horrible, gut-wrenching howl being broadcast through the journals this morning. A pained, frightened noise from a creature who had only been bounding through the forest, yipping and howling for joy just mere hours before. What had started out as a rather enjoyable night under the moon had turned into one of Remus' worst nightmares. Waking up to find himself still a wolf -- still Moony -- was something that had only existed in his dreams; a fear that had plagued him since he was very young. To have it become reality, well...
Let's just say he wasn't taking it too well at all.
The castle is responsible for this, that much he is certain of. He is lucky enough to have his full mind intact still, but the panic and the fear clouds his mind, impairs his judgement. Without any regard to Sirius -- nor any warning for that matter -- he bolts, tail between his legs and the whites of his eyes showing as he races through the pines toward the Castle. His heart is beating a million miles a second, all sorts of thoughts screaming and buzzing inside his skull like a swarm of angry hornets. He's beyond scared at this point.
Please, no no no ... not this!
Before long, he finds himself at the steps, and he stumbles as his paws scrabble over the melting snow and ice still covering the stone. If he can just get to his room before anyone sees him... ]
(ooc: anybody is welcome to either confront him in the forest or in the castle. He's safe to approach -- mostly.)

As such, he does not notice the wire and there's a sharp yelp of pain when the wire snaps tight around his forepaw. He tries to yank his paw free, but soon realizes with another pained yelp, that the wire will only tighten and it digs into his skin mercilessly. And Merlin, does that ever hurt --
With a growl, he glances around frantically and bites down at the wire, trying to get himself free as quick as possible. ]

... but to run, or to go back and kill it ... something that big could go a long way toward dinner for a group the size of the one he's living with. he tilts his head, trying to get a better look at the creature, to see if it's something he could finish off without getting hurt...]

If he was human and had hands and his wand, this wouldn't be an issue. He'd be able to get himself free with no problem.
And worse, if the hunter came back and saw this great, hairy beast trapped. What would he or she do?
He lets out a frustrated groan when the wire does not budge under his sharp teeth and lays down, panting. He's almost tempted to try and knaw his own leg off just to get free. At least now he understands why Moony always went crazy, trapped in that decrepit old shack... ]
