If it wasn't enough that a certain black lizard trashed the kitchen not long ago, now there's a young man filling the kitchen with...

...potatoes.

Peeled potatoes, to be specific.

Senri still didn't remember where he was or what he was supposed to do in this place, and days just seemed to float into each other. The castle was getting more and more familiar since he was exposed to it every single day, but he still had troubles finding his room.

The kitchen? Well, he found that by scent... and today, upon finding potatoes in the fridge, the teen apparently decided that peeling them were familiar. So he peeled all the potatoes in the fridge... and then wished up more. And more. And more.]

...Are you hungry?

[brb, this head is vacant.]

[Okay, that was strange. Was he all right? Ukitake approaches him.]

Why so many potatoes, friend?

[...nnnnnope, still peeling.]

[lifeandpride]

[That's concerning. He frowns and gently places his hand over the boy's wrist, to get him to stop peeling for a moment.]

...You can stop.

[bearcub]

[He blinks at that, looking at the hand that had so gently been placed over his. Putting down the knife like a good boy, he turns his one-eyed and somewhat zoned-out gaze to the man that had been speaking.]

[So there was someone in there, after all.]

Are you cooking for a lot of people?

[bearcub]

[There's a pause at that, and then Senri shakes his head. It was just comforting to do something repetitive and calm. Something he knew.]

Ah... well... you wouldn't want to waste it. These have to be cooked now.

[He looked around to see just how many potatoes he'd peeled, then back to the boy.]

...Senri... was it? Your name?

[bearcub]

[Senri seems rather surprised that the nice man knew his name, and there's no hint of recognition in his gray eye. Instead, he just gives a little nod, looking at the bushels or potatoes in the room.]

...will cook.

[lifeandpride]

I can help you if you wish.

[He smiles to reassure him.]

Do you remember meeting me? In the lobby?

[bearcub]

[...they had met before? He stares at Ukitake, but nothing seems familiar about the man. With a sigh, the teen shakes his head.]

[lifeandpride]

...That's okay.

[He looks around for a large enough pot.]

I might have been acting a bit strangely then. I'm Ukitake Juushirou.

[He finds a pot, but it wasn't big enough for them all.. they'd have to do a few batches.]

...but if that's too long for you, Ukitake is just fine.

[Harmony enters the kitchen, drawn to the sound of chopping. It's a strong sound. Determined.]

What a lovely display of effort.

[He doesn't seem to react at first, far too concentrated on the peeling.]

Strong arms... [She notes before she lets her hand brush against his shoulder, head tipping to watch more closely what he's doing.]

[The teen seems to be roused from his daydreaming at the touch, and he glances back at the woman. Did she want some potatoes?]

What are you preparing?

[bearcub]

[He blinks, a bit confused. Then he eyes the bushels of peeled potatoes again, as if he's waking up from a trance. Potatoes, obviously.]

You are so focused on your task.

[bearcub]

[Senri gives her a tiny smile and nods. Then he... hands her a potato.]

[She takes the potato in hand and then sets it down.]

It's very nice.

[bearcub]

[Nodding, he returns to his peeling. He's not really the easiest person to talk to, this kid.]

[She's seeing that.]

Are you preparing for a feast?

[bearcub]

[He looks up at her again, and shakes his head. Senri didn't really know why he was doing this... it just felt nice to do something he understood.]
