So, uh... everyone uses journals, here... But I can't read. Know I'm... missing a lot, like this. So, was wondering... are there teachers, here? Or just... someone who can help?
Can't pay, but can trade. Can teach to fight, hand to hand or... with weapons. Most kinds. Going to gym now, can meet there. Can meet... just to spar, too. Could use... sparring partners.
[The recording stops there, but Cass will be in the gym ready to spar with whoever wants to drop by.]

You've got a point. Sorry, my height never makes this kind of thing easy.

[Look, she's joking back with you. She's not very good at it, don't judge her.]

Thanks for being thoughtful towards my furniture.
Okay, how about we start out with something simple? Like a scarf.
no subject
Okay. I'm ready. What happens first?

[He carefully goes through the steps, explaining as he does so. Making sure she can see each one as he does it]
And this is how you start a knitting project, y'see? It sets the pattern for the rest of...well, whatever it is you're knitting.
[He nods at the needles and wool he gave her]
You try.

In the past, she learned new fighting techniques just from watching people move, so maybe she cheats and that's why she's able to cast on at all, though she gets her wool a little tangled a few times. When she's finished, it's all wrapped around her fingers and the needles, but otherwise she's managed to get it.
She's just a little stuck.]
There. Good?
no subject
Well, you've got the wool part covered at least.
[He reaches over to carefully try to free her fingers]
But maybe it needs a little less finger next time. Unless you want to to be really attached to whoever is wearing your scarf.

[Different definitions of the word are being used here, but it doesn't really matter. If she was bothering to make something for someone, it'd be someone she'd want to be close to anyway.
She waits patiently for him to untangle her, then grins.]
Will be for you. Since you're teaching.

[Oh wait, his brain is catching up with the rest of that sentence. He'll clear his throat awkwardly, trying and failing to keep the blush away from his cheeks]
I mean...that's - That's nice.
[Wow. Good job me. Best at words]

You're all red, now.

Aaaand I'm suddenly painfully aware that denying it won't do any good with you.

What comes next, with knitting?
[There, she's changed the subject, isn't she helpful?]
no subject
Okay, now you're ready to start the actual knitting.
[He makes a row with his own, then nods at her to do the same with hers]
