[That strange earthquake from the day before was a little frightening, but it doesn't stop Faye from wandering through various common areas in the castle. There's something off about everything, and she can't quite put her finger on whether or not it's more than just the quake that caused it.]

The castle doesn't look too bad. A little shaken, if nothing else. [There's humor in her voice; that joke was a little too much.] I'm guessing everyone's ok, right?



How'd you make out in all of this? You're not all crushed somewhere, are you?

Yeah, I'm fine. The bar and my place in town are a little worse for the wear, though, so I'm gonna have to move back to the castle for a little bit.

Since when do you have a bar?

I don't. Just work there. Have almost since I moved out to town last year.

Have you tried getting the castle to fix it?

Not sure it works like that.

It doesn't? Hm, well, that's lame.

Even if it did, I wouldn't ask.

I guess it is a little too much to ask from a vindictive castle.

I guess they decided to cut me a break.

[Funny how being in the castle helped him avoid trouble for once. Comparatively, anyway.]

[She's actually kind of relieved to hear that.]

I'm as surprised as you are.

[He's assuming she's fine, judging by the general optimism, but he's still listening just in case there's something she wouldn't say outside of a filter. You can never tell for sure.]

Don't get too comfortable. It's a moody castle, you know.

I'd question anyone who hasn't by now.

Yep. I've climbed out of worse.

It'll take me awhile, but yeah... I've been meaning to do the other three walls in brick, anyway.

Bricks, huh? As long as you stay away from sticks and straw.

It was mostly a log cabin, so... kind of...
