[Filtered away from those who would do the expedition group or people in the castle Paradisa harm or use this information for harm]

[He's a bit paranoid if you can't tell by that filter.]

We've just arrived to our location, for those of you not with us. I know it's early on our second day here, however I thought it best to put this out here now. Someone's mentioned the talking giraffes earlier, but think of this as a place to talk about anything we've found out here, not just them, think of this as a way to compare notes with one another.

For my efforts I've discovered they have an amazing variety of fruit juices.

[He has amazing priorities, can't you tell?]

ooc: This is just a catch all compare notes post post for the expedition, thread jack all you like about what you've learned.

An amazing variety of juices...yeah that's a great tidbit I'll write it in the report.

[a sigh] Alright lemme look at my notes.

No, but to be fair I never cared enough to look.

[a few page flippings and a pause before he jots down these condensed notes]

- They got this place called a Mirror Control room, where there are reflections of various people (castle residents too) and they change their appearances.
- They claim it helps keeps things running and they change the reflections to reflect things they do not have.
- Wouldn't tell me why or what's the point of doing this indepth because I'm not a giraffe.
- I tried to guess instead, but they wouldn't let me thanks to a "No Theorising" rule
- The whole thing's some sort of job, they share half the work with the Irish who are in Ireland.
- They observe phases of the moon
- They're scared of ladders and the dark
- They don't seek out information, they just take information they get from their leaders and say that's all they need. Knowledge is "gained", not shared.
- Leaders are giraffes.
- They watch movies?
- Also really into their patches. Big ones mean they are intelligent and beautiful.
- The thing that fell from the sky is out in the grasslands. None of them have gone to investigate it because it hasn't interrupt their work.
wilder: (pretty unimpressed I gotta say)

Alright, alright.

[Right, notice food next time. Sigh]

I have no idea, they wouldn't say anything beyond "they're in Ireland". It's weird to think that Paradisa could bring in a whole country though.
wilder: (so that's how it is.)

[personal profile] wilder 2013-04-24 05:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I guess it could be possible.

Oh- I forgot something:

- If a person commits a crime in Terre Haute, the punishment is wearing a false mustache.
wilder: (groooan)

[personal profile] wilder 2013-04-24 05:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Not really, I was stuck by how stupid it sounded to ask.
wilder: (oh gee so flattering)

[personal profile] wilder 2013-04-24 05:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Heh heh, as fun as it is to torment him, let's nooot use him as a guinea pig to figure out local law enforcement.
wilder: (who cares about details! (sheena))

[personal profile] wilder 2013-04-24 05:56 pm (UTC)(link)
...Yeah, because that's why it'd be a bad idea.

[jeez mafia people. MOVING ON]

Anyway! One of the giraffes made a big deal about the dark, so I decided to check it out if there's anything to it. Which...other than finding that another student of mine sneaked out, there wasn't anything worth note.

Then again, maybe I got lucky.

Well it sure wasn't Tsuna. [Such the rule follower him!]

Yeah, I know. Even if the giraffes seem out of their minds, it's still something to keep in mind.
wilder: (cheee- no.)

[personal profile] wilder 2013-04-24 06:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Just that it's out there, unfortunately. I doubt they know the exact location since none of them went to check it out.
wilder: (so that's how it is.)

[personal profile] wilder 2013-04-24 08:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Sounds fine with me. I know I'd be up for going, I hate this town.
not_mafia: (so done)

[personal profile] not_mafia 2013-04-24 06:56 pm (UTC)(link)
I can read this, you know. [Hi tutor!]
not_mafia: (not an idiot)

I'm not going to go and harass the giraffes for your entertainment, Reborn!

[The Doctor has his own notes, but doesn't need to consult them for this piece of information.]

Wonderful place isn't it, fascinating wildlife. Although I was more interested in how they have working electric lights inside Terre Haute considering it's in the catchment of the Dead Zone, rather an important fact, don't you think?

Sadly, not yet. Nothing that is so obvious, which is frustrating. Investigations are still being carried out. Which leads me to another question, actually, albeit rhetoric. Where did they get the lightbulbs?

[Or, how many giraffes does it take to change a bulb...?]

...Fruit juices?

[Reborn, what were you doing yesterday.]

Apparently their founder was named Stuart. ...He's also a tree.

[...Yeah, she's got nothing.]

[personal profile] heal_theworld 2013-04-24 07:48 pm (UTC)(link)
...They must really like juice.

And on my world they certainly can't, but they can move. We have plant monsters, like Torents and Plantix. [Pause.] Though if he could, we'll never know, since it seems like he's dead. There's a sculpture of him in the town square.

[personal profile] heal_theworld 2013-04-24 08:00 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm...not sure. [How does one tell that?]

Or it could be his dead body that they carved into a sculpture.
toobravehearted: (131 Don't think much of that...)

[personal profile] toobravehearted 2013-04-24 08:31 pm (UTC)(link)
That is a rather morbid when put that way, Martel.

I posed the question that if the sculpture is a representation of "Stuart", then where are others like him?

[personal profile] heal_theworld 2013-04-26 10:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Just a bit.

...The tree at Mineas Well could have been similar, now that I think about it.
toobravehearted: (pondering...hmm)

[personal profile] toobravehearted 2013-04-27 10:24 am (UTC)(link)
Mineas Well. I've read a little about that. Unfortunately the records pertaining to it preceed the journal that I have. Can I ask if you could share what you know, and why you think this tree in Terre Haute to be similar?

[personal profile] heal_theworld 2013-04-27 05:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Mm. I don't know much. I went there once, and the tree seemed alive, in a way. It couldn't talk, but it seemed far more than a normal tree.
toobravehearted: (friendly neighborhood timelord)

[personal profile] toobravehearted 2013-04-30 10:42 pm (UTC)(link)
So you're saying the tree was aware? Just the one, there?
