[Faye had been wondering why it was so quiet lately. Where had everyone gone? Of course, her favorite person to annoy is conspicuous by his absence. She wanders through the castle, using the guise of exploring as an excuse for looking for him.]
Geez. It seems like everyone's in hiding.
[It isn't long before a familiar little dog waddles up to her and takes a seat at her boots.]
Great. Where'd you come from? I guess Spike left you to your own devices, too. Typical.

[Action forever!]
Vicious...
[Ein quietly moves behind her, his ears laying flat on his head.]

Ms. Valentine. What a coincidence.
[Might as well let her think he was looking for her. It's more fun that way]

[If she'd known how distracted he'd been with Spike, she'd have been eternally grateful.]
What is it you want?

[She was something he could potentially use against Spike, and she seemed brash enough that she just might let something useful slip, which made trying to provoke her worth his time.]

[She knows better than to argue, especially now that he's so close.]

[Not that he's offering safety, or an assurance of his own behavior, but he leaves that part unsaid]

Is it going to end? This dispute?
no subject
[Not in a way she'd care for, he's sure. But somehow, some way, he will end it as it should have ended back on Mars]
no subject
Then I won't interfere.
[She's afraid, but she's lying through her teeth. Someone has to make sure that lunkhead doesn't do anything stupid. But then when has that plan ever worked?]
no subject
[He doesn't expect her to keep her word. He doesn't even expect her to keep this little encounter to herself. If it gets back to Spike, so be it. He won't protest anything that might spur their little conflict along.]

So are we done?
no subject
Yes. We're done.
[He turns and takes a few steps away.]
Send Spike my regards.

She waits until he's out of sight to leave, even then still glancing over her shoulder every few paces. The little Corgi trots at her side as she walks.]
