4th Elevator (Voice)

[ The events of the past few days have had Gary thinking, what with the earthquake and the chaos that followed. He missed his control room. He missed having the ability to push a button, or flick a switch and have the situation in front of him resolve itself.

However the more he thought about it the more he remembered just how big and vast it was....so many different parts that needed monitoring and cataloguing. So many things that needed to be done to successfully complete the ritual.

And that was the point...the room and the ritual was too big for just one person.

There has to be somebody else in there right? Somebody else to help oversee the entire operation. But why was he drawing a blank when he tried to remember this person?

He could remember everyone else...Dr Amy Lin, Officer Daniel Truman, the boys from accounting. They were like his second family after all. So why was it such a chore trying to remember who helped him with the ritual?

He drums his fingers on the desk before speaking.]

So does anybody here ever feel like...I don't know.

[He tries again.]

Does anybody here ever feel like their memories have been tampered with?

I know it's such a strange concept here in the land on rainbows and lollypops but you don't ask you don't get right?

I haven't, personally, but I've known a lot of people who have. It's a common loss around here.

It's possible to lose memories of events, too, but more often the loss is the memories of a person... or how they're important to you.

[Speaking from personal experience on BOTH counts]

The castle wouldn't have taken the memories if they weren't important in some way.

[she pauses]

I'm sorry.
kungfuwitch: (devilish angel)

[She chuckles]

You'd be surprised how many people still do.
kungfuwitch: (really?!)

[She laughs]

As an advice columnist I'd usually go for something somewhere in the middle of those but I can see where you're coming from. It's probably one of the reasons there are so many bars around here.

[She laughs]

Sounds like a heck of a job. What do you do?
kungfuwitch: (Everything's working out for once)

[She whistles]

Wow. Impressive.

[Of course it doesn't help that she hasn't had the best of relationships with, uh, ANY FBI people she's met but hey there's always a first time]
kungfuwitch: (patiently optimistic)

Phoebe Halliwell. [She'll let the "sweetness" comment slide... for now.] And you are?
kungfuwitch: (one fish two fish...)

[personal profile] kungfuwitch 2013-05-30 12:19 pm (UTC)(link)
It's a pleasure to meet you, too. How long have you been here?
kungfuwitch: (whadaya gonna do?)

[She laughs]

I'm glad I missed that one. I've known Crowley for well over a year, now. Somehow it doesn't surprise me that he'd host that game.

That's not so bad if that's the worst you've seen so far. A month after I got here we were all transported onto pirate ships and I had to help defend the ship from the Navy.
kungfuwitch: (you don't say)

I guess you could call it kick-ass. I felt like I had just walked out of an Errol Flynn movie.
