☽ 010 [ Waning Crescent ] - - Dictated.
[ Remus has been waiting. He's been patient and has set himself aside to deliberate on the best choice of action. He's had a month since the whole mess with Samkranti and his Loss and as much as Remus would simply love to continue hiding behind his lies, he knows that the Castle will not allow him that luxury. Sooner or later, the whole Castle will know what he was and Remus was not willing to allow that to happen just yet.
He knows that he must speak up now, knows that he has to be the one to start this conversation for once. The last time he was "outed", James and Snape had nearly lost their lives in the passage under the Whomping Willow and before that, in 2nd Year, it had been his friends who had cornered him. Both times, Remus had had no say, hadn't been given a chance to step up to the plate on his own, to speak on his own terms. He was not about to let that happen a third time.
That isn't to say, however, that he wasn't afraid. He was scared. Scared of what they might think and what they might say. He doubted that they would come marching with torches and pitchforks, but he knew to expect a less-than positive reaction. He had lied, after all, and what right did he, a monster, have wandering around the Castle and making claims of having human blood in his veins?
It is for the best, he tries to convince himself as he opens up a filter. ]
I would like to speak to some of you in private if you have time. It's ... it's about a Loss I had near the beginning of April and ... and about the Full Moon. Some of you came into contact with a strange wolf in the woods last month. A select few of you, even attempted to help that wolf into the Castle -- a kindness that I am very wary of being grateful for. Either way, there are a few things that need to be explained. About what that wolf has to do with me. It's a bit of a long story, so forgive me if I take too much of your time...

Remus.
Arya.
...
I'm sorry I frightened you, Arya.
Remus.
Arya.
If you weren't scared, then you have far more bravery than I.
Remus.
[ That he's different from any other wolves she's seen goes unsaid. ]
Arya.
True. You have your Nymeria.
But ... I'm not like her, nor any other wolf, right?
Remus.

I remember that wolf. I remember thinking it was a bit bigger than any I've seen before, heh.
What does it have to do with you?
Evan.
Evan must have seen him during a full moon. Before Remus had been given the Wolfsbane potion. Sirius hadn't seen fit to telll him that he'd encountered anybody that night.
Nonetheless, he owes an explanation. ]
... I ... I was the wolf.
Remus
Are...you a Lycanthrope? A Werewolf?
[Far from being judgemental or fearful, Evan is curious. Strange, dangerous, and unbelievable were some of the defining characteristics of the life he lived.]
Evan.
Forgive him for raising a brow at you, Evan, but he's never thought of that part of him as 'cool'. Nor has he heard anybody refer to a werewolf in such a way. ]
I am a Werewolf, yes. My kind are not referred to as 'cool' by the general population, though... A-at least, where I come from they aren't.
Remus
Evan.
[ In a strange way, Remus is glad to hear that there are others he can relate to here. The discrimination against Werewolves is rampant in the Wizarding World and to have someone who might know how that feels .. ? ]
I see. I suppose I'm far too used to the prejudices in my own world...
Remus
Evan.

Hermione.
I ... don't really know, to be honest. I'd just ... rather speak now, before the Castle decides to do what it did again.
Remus
Hermione.
I've got you and Sirius and James, after all.
Remus
Hermione.

Where do you want to meet?

Perhaps the library? That's where I can usually be found.

Works for me.
[A few minutes later, she comes wandering into the library. She'd never, as far as she remembered, talked to Remus as a human before, so she's none too sure who exactly it is she's looking for. But the library's one of her hangouts too.]
Filter - Let me know if it's too late
All right, though you really don't need to be worried. I was glad to help.
(Not late at all!)
Where I come from, though, Werewolves aren't exactly held in very high regard. It's a habit of mine, to be wary of speaking about what I am.

I can get wanting some secrecy. Back home I'm not as open about my... occupation as I am here.
