Aye, Edinburgh is in Scotland.

And Atlantis is the most amazing place I've ever been to.

Will you tell me more about Atlantis, ...?

Well, the thing is, I wouldn't know where to begin...

You may begin anywhere. It will be like an exploration of the wonders of Atlantis, in words.

Well, I suppose the first place to start would be the Gate Room. There's stained glass windows that give a view of the ocean outside, stairs leading off to the Ops room and doors for the other areas of the Command tower.

What is the view of the ocean like?

Stretches as far as the eye can see. Just an endless expanse of ocean. The shoreline is barely visible on the horizon.

And then the Command tower, the view from there must be breathtaking.

Aye, there's several balconies leading off from Ops.

Ops. [ What an adorable word. ] And what of the people of Atlantis? Are they kind and full of cheer?

Atlantis was abandoned when we got there. The Ancients had left through the Gate about ten thousand years ago for Earth. Submerged the city.

[heloise]

Why did the Ancients leave such a beautiful city behind? A plague?

[atadiscoverer]

You could call it that. The Wraith. An alien species that mutated from humans because the Ancients brought them from here.

[heloise]

So, the Ancients were driven away by the Wraith? Have they found a new home yet?

[atadiscoverer]

This was all ten thousand years ago.

The Ancients came back to Earth, and ascended. They're all on a higher plane of existance now.
