[Fourteen - Right Through The Eye]

[There's the sound of feet hitting walls, as Katniss kicks off from one wall to another, going through the rooms with a systematic fury. She's going through whatever paperwork she can find, anything at all that will help those in the control room, those working on the doors.]

It's technology -- all technology has manuals. Buttons you can push, control panels you can manipulate. We just have to find one ... [She looks around.] Are there computers, here? Communication devices outside our own? Someone might have left us a message or - or an explanation.

[She exhales, noisily.] ...we've got to help them. I think they're starting to turn on each other. I think they've all been hijacked.

I found some tools and I'm trying to fix things in the control room. Haven't found a manual yet.

August! [Oh thank God, he was okay.]

Do you see anything like a computer? Or maybe just a wall screen, like a television? [She's still pushing off like a true Space Olympic champion - Gold for Space Archery - trying to find something to help.]

Katniss. [hey girl]

Monitors and wires. Have you been in the control room? There was already a message here written in Latin. There are a couple ways to translate it, but we're all thinking it says "free yourself from Hell".

And then one of those who were affected said something in Italian: "Abandon all hope ye who enter here". Those are the words inscribed over the entrance to Hell in Dante's Inferno.

Henry's safe. He's down in the statis pods. [Thank all the powers that be.]

[She braces herself on a wall, pulling out another drawer, hoping she doesn't go flying across the room.] I have. I don't know much about computers or engineering, so I volunteered to go find information. [Because she was observant, and a hunter of all things.]

[Her hands paused, as August described what he had seen.] ...I don't know that book, but I'm guessing it didn't have a happy ending.

I know, I saw. Had to keep the Starks from breaking it. [they had a sword and a knife, Katniss. Sobs]

It details Dante's journey through the circles of Hell. It wasn't bad for him, since he was just an observer, but he witnessed torments and suffering. So no, not happy.

[She winced.] ... Like I told you, really protective.

Great. The other ship's been tracker-jacked and we don't have the power on -- I'm heading up there right now. Need a hand?

He's safe, that's all that matters right now.

I'm guessing "tracker-jacked" is your world's term for people losing their minds. You'll have to give me more details on that later. [he pauses, thinking about how she can help]

If you hear anything from a woman named Ruby Lucas, let me know. She's on the other ship.

Right.

[She nods, as she kicks her way back up to the control room.] Basically means something's taken over their mind. Made them do things against their will.

[She'd been skimming the journals religiously.] ...Nothing yet. But I'll keep you posted.

Yeah. Sounds similar to what we're dealing with here. And if that's true, I'm even more concerned about my friend. We need to get them out of there fast.

Power first. Then the doors. [She pauses, thinking about it.] Do we know where the medical lab is? I sort of ... skipped over that part of the guided tour. We might need tranquilizers for the ones who are too far gone.

I missed it, too. I can take a look once we have the power going.

All right.

[A young voice from across the control room.]

I have one. York told me where they'd be.

[Dairine, she might have to kiss you.]

Does he know where the rest of them are?

You bet. Come on up to the Control Room. There are plenty.

Mind if I borrow it?

Sure. There's more where it came from.

[Dairine pushes the one so it floats over, then grabs another.]

Thanks. [he grabs it as it floats his way and starts to read]

No problem. [And with that she starts back up, flipping back to the page she was on.]

[Dairine is 100% serious. It's errantry time.]

I've heard. But computers and doors won't do squat until we restore the main power.

There's manuals in the Control Room. We have a team [sort of] already working on it. You're welcome to join.

[Katniss kicked off with her feet, pushing her way out of ... maybe the first officer's office.]

I'm on my way. Just point and tell, Dairine.

Great. Just get in here. I'll ask York what still needs doing.

[After all, there's already a good number working on the project. She'd rather not step on anyone's toes at this point... could get messy.]
