[Well, things sure aren't fun for you guys right now, are they? And to make matters worse, some of you have become completely corrupted by the ship, and you've got some crazy new ideas in your heads.

Anyone not corrupted isn't doing that hot either. Not only do you have to deal with your new crazy-face buddies, but you have to deal with your own terrible hallucinations coming at you when you least expect them, and they want you to do terrible, awful things]

[She freezes in place hearing that familiar voice. Or is it just another hallucination? Her face is still very much covered, and she raises her claws defensively.]

[She shakes her head rather vigorously. She's been hanging on like a trooper!]

[Feferi grins widely.]

They want me to be, but not yet! I am a lot tougher than I look!

[She's shrinking back a little. No, she doesn't want to know!]

[Feferi is still grinning. She's also talking in her normal tone of voice.]

All of them! How many trolls do you think there were in the Empire, when I couldn't stop her from Glubbing?

Don't worry, you're perfectly safe! They think you're one of them! Just another troll, caught in the undertow.

[Okay, consider Nepeta officially petrified. Her claws don't seem as intimidating when they're shaking, no matter how high she tries to hold them. No. No no no. She's tired of everyone falling apart around her!]

And you're not going to hurt me, either. Right?

[Feferi looks shocked at the very thought!]

Sea, I will even put my fork away!

[And she does, too. No more fork.]

[She's lowering her claws a bit now, though she did notice something rather alarming.]

Was that... Did someone try to hurt you?

I think he was a little confused. I hope he will be okay! I couldn't lift him, and I couldn't heal him, so I had to leave him in a corridor.

[Her shoulders slump, and for the first time in a while, she relaxes. Just a little.]

I don't know what's happening, Feferi. I'm [not scared not scared] frustrated. Things are happening, and things aren't really happening and I'm starting to not be able to tell the difference.

[Feferi considers it for a moment.]

You shouldn't be so concherned! I'm sure they are doing everything they can to get us off this ship. They won't leave us here!

[Unless they have to, she thinks.]

Maybe we should look for something to help on this side? The control room is out, but there must be other things we can look for!

[Maybe if she stays with someone familiar. Someone who she's fairly convinced won't attack her. But she won't get too close, just in case. Just to be safe.

Nepeta nods, tufts of hair still shaking in front of her face, but at least the claws are being put away.]

A distraction sounds purrfect right now.

[Feferi is a little distracted by the dead trolls. They're starting to cluster. It's a bit unnerving, really. Maybe if she starts walking, quickly, they'll move out of the way.]

Hehehe, that sounded like a pun!

I'm not sure what we should search for. What would be helpful right now?

[Her giggle comes out forced, but it's there and she's trying. As they begin to walk at a quicker pace, she reaches out to take Feferi's hand, holding it a little tighter than expected.]

Maybe we could see if anyone is hurt? In the medical bay.

Sure! I might not be as much kelp as I could be without my life powers, but maybe I can guard them or something! I can still use my culling fork.

[The hand... helps, oddly enough. It's substantial, which is a nice change.]
