I--I can't find Kara. She went back, to see if she could get people out, but I don't...

I checked the wreck and the clinic. [Let's hope this feeling in her gut is just leftovers from this whole ordeal.]

Kara, you better just be... somewhere here. Respond ASAP, or if anyone's seen her--blonde hair, blue eyes, pretty--let me know.

Bathouse

[It's been a blur since they got back. Journal entry done, Steph's in the bathroom, shirt off and held against her chest. Her back is to the mirror, and she turns this way and that, trying to get a good look at the stab wound Lucrezia left.

How sad is it that a knife in her back is the easiest thing to focus on right now? Cass is somewhere, Tim is somewhere, and there's a whole lot of repairing to do, it feels like. But right now, she just wants to see if she's pulled her stitches.

Didn't they just have to rebuild from an earthquake?]

We need more emergency supplies, such as rations, medicine, blankets, and water. We also need some restraints and ways to neutralize people without injuring them. Something small and hand held.

We keep our clothing with us, so if we have it on a backpack or pocket, it should come with us.

Civilians in Gotham carry them all the time. I can create different tasers, for different threat levels. Including a device that can inject tranquilizers.

I haven't been able to get any sleep yet. [She rubs slow circles on his skin.] Do you want to play pillow for a while?

Always. [Moves his hand out of her shirt and to her face, cupping one of her cheeks in it. ]

Try and get some rest. I'll be here the entire time.

Thanks. [Smiles, briefly, then resumes her spot on his chest. She closes her eyes and tries her best to just stop thinking altogether.]

[Hums softly, trying to give her a soothing sound to listen to. Runs his fingers along her sides, shoulders, and back. ]

She takes hold of his other hand to use as a pillow for her cheek. Definitely not the hands of the crazy guy that attacked her. Having a boyfriend for a pillow is pretty nice.]

[It's Muse, thankyouverymuch. If she is familiar with them then she might recognize the song as Starlight...

Tenses when she takes his hand, worrying about that very thing. He almost pulls away but stops himself in his tracks when he sees how relaxed she is. ]

[She tilts her face to kiss his hand.]

[There's another twitch of tension in his hand, but it's much milder than the previous tension.]

If you don't rest, I'm going to bombard you with schematic designs. [grins at her.]

My eyes are closed. I'm not expecting to fall asleep easily, so if you want to bore me into a coma, go for it.

[She rests her cheek against his hand, her fingertips against his wrist.]
