[ In retrospect Gary could have came out of the Event Horizon scenario a lot worse.
It was hard to see how...every horror he'd ever seen, every shitty thing he'd ever done had been paraded in front of his eyes like some kind of homage to how much of an asshole he'd been over the years. Plus the ass kicking he received at the hands of a hallucinating Gale Hawthorne and Chell was making it hurt to even move.
But at least he was still alive thank fuck.
So rather then deal with his feelings or get his injuries checked out like a normal functioning human being he's falling back on his usual defence mechanism when dealing with death and trauma....drinking.
He's currently sat at the Lux nursing a beer...occasionally pressing it against his swollen nose.]
I think the past couple of days call for a fucking drink or two.
If anybody mobile wants one...company is appreciated.
Just find the guy in the Lux that looks like he chases parked cars with his face.

No rush...I don't plan on leaving here any time soon.
[ He gets in a second beer for himself while he waits.]
dictated; whoah, i am sorry, i somehow lost the therad for this!
[ And, somehow, Lee doesn't seem to have any trouble finding him, moving to slide into a seat next to him at the bar. ]
Doing alright?
[ Not that he knows him- but it's polite to ask. ]
It's all good...happens to us all.
Well every part of me aches like a Bitch but other then that I'm peachy.
[He sighs.]
Man I thought I'd seen it all in life!

Seriously...even after all that?
What kind of fucked up place do you come from?

[ He drums his fingers against the side of his glass. ]
And one where I'll be dead soon, too. I don't plan on going back.

He takes a swig of his drink and decides not to ask about the creatures.]
Oh I'm talking to a fellow dead guy? Awesome.
We should totally start a club.

That right? What got you?
no subject
So what about you? I'm guessing these zombies got you right?

[ And he rubs his forearm, an idle memory more than anything else. ]
Yeah. But I'm trying to keep that under wraps, if you don't mind.

[He knows Lee already has a beer but he gets him another for when he's finished. It's partly because he feels for the guy but also because the slight guilt he has.
Gary shouldn't...he's not from Lee's world after all. Yet it just doesn't seem right. It feels like he's socialising with one of the organisations victims.]
Sorry man.

Not your fault.

[He takes a swig of his beer]
The phrase "It hurt like a motherfucker" probably doesn't even come close to describing the experience.

Maybe the castle's just fond of us doomed folks.

Who can blame it? We're quite the high market clientelle
