[Felix's tone is soft and weary as he speaks into the journal]

Should anyone wish it, I can ward against nightmares. It's a quick and simple spell, most effective if done just prior to sleep.

Send a message with your name, room number, and time you wish to retire. Or questions, if you have any. My name is Felix Harrowgate, if we are not acquainted.

[It's the least he can do, he figures]

[He isn't sure what to make of it, but he vaguely notes that he's one of Aradia's kin, and perhaps to ask about it later. He's more concerned that the boy may be expecting miracles from him.]

Yes, it's magic.

[He nods, rocking a little. He might be expecting a little too much, but he's optimistic for now]

What do we have to do?

You don't have to do anything besides hold still. [A beat, and then he gestures at the bed]

May I sit a moment?

[He nods, and pats the spot beside him, obviously excited]

Thit. Yeth, come thit.

[lord_wizard]

[He does so, though quite primly on the edge as if he's ready to run away at any moment. He is, in fact, feeling apprehensive about the whole thing. This is possibly only the third time he's offered this spell to someone other than his brother since he came to Paradisa two years ago, and the first time to a complete stranger.]

Do you have nightmares often?

Uh huh. All the time! [He rocks back and forth, then pauses and looks deeply into Felix' eyes] Oooh.

[This isn't all the unusual for Felix, given that his strange combination of eye colors was a curiosity even at home, though the reaction seems different]

What is it?

[Mituna reaches up and lifts his puff of curly hair, revealing one red and one blue eye. Of course, his don't appear to have pupils, or sclera. Just two coloured orbs, with ugly-looking red and blue traceries of veins around them.]

Your eyeth!

[He manages to not look quite as taken aback by this as he actually is, and the shock wears off quickly.]

...I see. Does this mean something? [He points vaguely up at his one eyes]

Um. [He cocks his head] It meanth pthychic powerth?

Does it? I think in my case it's simply a coincidence, otherwise all wizards were I come from would have such a trait. [He does smile, though, for a moment]

I suppose that means you have such powers?

[His smile falters and he shakes his head] No, no powerth for me.

Any reason why?

Yeth. [He blinks innocently at the human] But I don't remember.

Mmmm...well, I don't know yet what the difference between psychic powers and magic, especially when some magic can work on the mind in much the same way.

Are you ready to try the spell, then?

I dunno, either. [He ponders it, but doesn't really care. At the question, he nods]

What do I do?

Just lie down as if were going to sleep.

Okay.

[He scootches down and rests his head on the pillow, then grabs the blankets and rolls over, wrapping himself up like in a cocoon with only his head out. Then he blinks curiously at Felix, expectant.]

[lord_wizard]

[He waits until he's sure Mituna is settled and then, tentatively reaches out, first to brush back the hair on his face, and then next to quickly trace across the boy's forehead, his fingers light as a feather.

The effect it more or less instant. Mituna should feel the pull of sleep immediately]

Do let me know if they come back, or if there is any problem at all.

[Oh, that feels weird, and he twitches in surprise as the human touches him so suddenly and lightly. He starts to sit up, then yawns, showing double rows of very sharp teeth, and wraps himself up again, only the puff of curls showing above the blanket.]

Okay.... thank you.

[He pulls his arm back and tucks it against his body, nodding vaguely as he stands]

You're welcome. Good...mm...night...as it were...

[And he goes to walk out]
