Third Waypoint Marked
[Filtered to those he attacked or otherwise intimidated on the Event Horizon (aka Ashura, Muraki, Pixy (if he really wants to hear it) and Gary Sitterson).]
I realize that many of you may be recovering from the events that transpired over the past few days. However, I wish to take a moment to apologize for any physical or psychological harm contact with me may have inflicted upon you. My only wish was to prevent anyone from harming themselves, others, or the ship before we were presented with the opportunity to escape. I do not like to engage my combat or stalking protocols on those I would otherwise consider allies, and did so with extreme reluctance.
If you wish to have a word with me in person, you will find me waiting in the lobby.
[/Filter]
[Those who happen to pass through the lobby this evening will find a fairly beat-up looking robo-wolf curled up near the stairs. Though he's had plenty of rest, psychologically he's still pretty tired. An odd thing, considering he's a robot, but his mind is as close to human as an AI can be.]

Hey Bladwolf! Found someone to fix you up yet?
no subject
Negative. However, I have not searched with a great deal of diligence, as many people are still under a great deal of psychological stress as a result of the events of the past few days. Grieving the loss of loved ones, and healing the psychological wounds inflicted by the Event Horizon takes precedence over my repairs.

Do you think I could do it?
no subject
Affirmative. We will need to ask the castle for the appropriate materials, and preferably do the repairs in a place that is well lit and equipped for mechanical work, but I believe that the repairs I require are simple enough, that you may perform them with minimal instruction.
I believe my room in the castle is best suited for this task. I have yet to use it for it's intended purpose, and may need further repairs and maintenance in the future. I believe it is possible to ask the castle to shape one's bedroom as the user requires, is it not?
no subject
And sure. Where's your room at? Someday it could probably look like a lab or a repair shop. I don't know where you lived before this, so I'm just throwing my assumptions out there... Did you have people taking care of you back home?
no subject
[He thinks about this for a moment. Bladewolf had never really "lived" anywhere. Sure, when he worked for Desperado he was often kept in a maintenance bay with the other LQ-84 models, but after being defeated by Raiden and being repaired by Wilhelm "Doktor" Voigt, he stayed with, and traveled with Raiden.]
In a manner of speaking, yes. Most recently, I was in the employment of Maverick Security, and their chief cybernetics expert, Dr. Wilhelm Voigt kept me in his lab while I underwent repairs. Prior to that, I was held against my will by Desperado Enforcement, and was used as a template for the LQ-84 Fenrir. As a result, I was made to share a maintenance bay with my "offspring", so that Desperado could copy the essential elements of my design for mass-production.

But okay, we could take the elevator again if you want. I'm fine with the stairs. It's good exercise!
no subject
[Robo-shrug.]
Either is fine, as I do not require exercise.
[Nevertheless, he bounds up the stairs, taking them 4 and 5 at a time, before stopping to wait for Chie on the landing.]

Man, I wouldn't be able to keep up with you though. My dog back home can't even run that fast anymore. He's grown too fat.

[He looks down the hall, thinking about his "room". He'd found it easily enough, but seeing as how he didn't need much sleep, or have much in the way of physical possessions or needs, literally all that was inside was the Murasama Sword, sitting on a dresser. He hadn't even considered remodeling it to his liking, before being damaged. It was nice to have an excuse to claim his own space, even with as little time as he intended to stay there.]
no subject
And we can run together sometime! Not today though, I'm tired [Chie yawns] I think I slept too long. I wished for a new bed and it is outrageously comfortable I don't want to get up!
[Chie follows Bladewolf into his room and immediately noticed the sword]
Wow, nice sword.

[Bladewolf looks up at where he left the Murasama, and is immediately hit with a pang of "heartbreak", for the man it belonged to.]
It once belonged to a friend of mine, a swordsman named Samuel Rodrigues. I keep it in his memory.
[He walks over to where he'd set it, and takes it into his mouth.]
If we are to wish for my room to be reconfigured into a workshop, we should probably step outside. I will require your instruction on the function of "wishing", as I have not done so since I arrived.
[Bladewolf]
You did what you had to. I think whoever you helped should be more grateful to be alive than holding anything against you.
[Pixy]
[Bladewolf]
[It was a living hell is what it was.]
[Pixy]
[Bladewolf]
I don't think you're the only one who wouldn't want to see former employers again.
[Or companions as well, in his case. Though with this place, such a thing seemed way more likely than he would have liked to admit.]
... Whatever is behind this place, I doubt they set their sights on particular people.
[Pixy]
[Bladewolf, on the other hand, wouldn't mind seeing Raiden again, or even Sam, if what he's heard about Paradisa reviving the dead was true.]
Perhaps, but it is difficult to know for sure, due to the unpredictable nature of the castle's actions.
[Bladewolf]
[What the actual fuck. That's something even he can't imagine; after all, the only soldiers he ever faced were adults. Two types of people shouldn't be involved in war: Children and civilians. He'd actually rather not think about it.]
... sounds like your world's worse off than where I came from.
[Pixy]
[He thinks of Raiden, a survivor of the Liberian Civil War, Moonsoon, a survivor of the Khmer Rouge, and Mistral, who survived the Algerian Civil War. In reality, the only cyborgs he'd had extended contact with who weren't child soldiers were Khamsin and Sundowner, who were both former U.S. Military, who joined Desperado because they had nothing else they could do.]
As I understand it, every "world" has it's problems. War, unfortunately, is a universal constant wherever intelligent life exists.
[Bladewolf]
War is the sole reason that borders exist. Borders between countries placed for that very reason so that those higher up can get into their squabbles.
[But that's why A World With No Boundaries existed. That's why Pixy joined them- to erase those borders. People were equal otherwise if those borders didn't exist to define them.
...it's just a shame he failed in the end.]
War was certainly expected where I came from. Hell, I'd just gotten out of one before I got here.
[Pixy]
[At first, Bladewolf fought for survival, but his exposure to Khamsin had caused him to write a directive relating to ensuring the freedom of whoever he found that was being oppressed. After being "liberated" by Raiden, he chose to fight for those Raiden fought for, innocents being exploited for war. His reasoning didn't get much more complicated than that.]
[Bladewolf]
Good to know you don't fight for a political agenda. Politicians have enough people to sacrifice for their own gain. So long as they win, who cares about guys like us, eh?
[He mostly manages a sarcastic tone, but a hint of anger is apparent. He's still left wondering why Cipher wasted his skill on defending that flawed world.]
[Pixy]
Agreed. There is a quote I like, spoken by a soldier who has become somewhat famous due to being the progenitor of modern cyborgs..."We are not tools of the government, or anyone else. Fighting was the only thing... the only thing I was good at. But... at least I always fought for what I believed in."
[Bladewolf]
I don't think I've ever heard truer words from a soldier. I'm glad to hear there are others that think in a similar vein and don't let themselves be used as the government's pawns.
[Pixy]
[Bladewolf]
[Something he knows only too well.]
[Gary]
Though I do find myself curious about your reaction. You seemed fearful of a "killer robot" which you imagined me to be. I wish to know more of this robot, if you are willing to indulge my curiosity.
[Bladewolf]
His first instinct is to stall...the truth would only paint a huge bull’s-eye on his back to the other residents.]
I imagined you were a what now?
[Gary]
A "killer robot" is the term you used, I believe. Not dissimilar from my original design, and that of my "offspring", the LQ-84 Fenrir.
[Bladewolf]
There was only one thing for it.]
Look...can you keep something to yourself here?
[Gary]
[Bladewolf]
I haven't said anything to anybody because...well I'm looking to escape that part of my life.
[It's a half truth...that should satisfy his curiosity. He's hoping.]
[Gary]
Understandable. In truth, I have similar motivations, wishing to go against my design.
As long as your motivation is genuine, I will keep your former occupation in confidence.
[Bladewolf]
So how are you holding up after everything big guy?
[Gary]
Aside of some minor abrasions to my exoskeleton, I am undamaged.
[Aside of a minor moral crisis resulting from having to engage his Killer Robot protocols to rescue people, anyway, but he's not going to talk about that.]
[Bladewolf]
As long as there's nothing that needs attention I guess thats a blessing.
[No worries dude...lots of things aren't being talking about today.]
[Gary]
Ms. Chie Satonaka has volunteered to make simple repairs on my exoskeleton, which I have accepted as an act of kindness. Though it is unnecessary, she seems to want to help in any way she is able.
