- 7 - I seated ugliness on my knee and almost immediately grew tired of it.
[Backdated to the evening of the 11th]
[ The Doctor finally returns to 2109 to freshen up and get a change of clothes. His poor frock coat is torn and dirty, his stick of celery, well that disappeared long ago, he's dishevelled and his body feels like a big, blue bruise. Not unusual for the Doctor to be on the go for several days, but even he has his limits and he's reaching them. He saw Paradisa's true face this week and just what it is capable of. It's high time he did something about it that is proactive and he has a plan in mind. However, he needs to be prepared for that, so have a weary sounding Doctor in the meantime, castle... ]
Good evening everyone. It's the Doctor here, although I won't keep you too long. There are several people I've not seen or heard from yet and I would appreciate if you could check in if you're able to. I... Please. I'll be doing a check of all rooms shortly.
For those who have lost friends in this... Nothing, not even Paradisa, can make this less difficult to understand or take and... I am truly sorry for your loss. [ Because if they could have gotten the doors open sooner... If they had done this, if they had done that... The biggest word in the English language, or any language for that matter. ]
I've mentioned this before, but- Pardon me, who put that there?
[ In his room is a steaming golden cup of tea next to a teapot. He eyes both dubiously at first. Then he smells the tea. Then he smells what is in the pot. Yes, it's tea, nothing untoward he can detect by nose. He takes the tiniest sip and does that taste good, followed by a deep draught from the cup. Entering the TARDIS and navigating the corridors with ease, he drains the last of the tea and shucks his coat as he goes. ]
Oh my little friend, did anything taste as sweet? Where was I? Yes. I've mentioned this before; there is a room in the TARDIS with a calming and restful environment, specifically aimed at promoting healing, both physically and... Well, [ yaaaaawnn ] so sorry, excuse me, I've brought it right up to the Console room temporarily so that it is easier to locate and my doors are open for anyone who will benefit from this. Please, you are more than welcome, the room is quite large and I think I'll find myself there before too long also. Roses. Just follow your nose.
I'm sure its not escaped anyone's attention that there is a rather large ornament i-i-in [ yaaaaawnn again ] Paradisa's front garden. Has anyone had any thoughts as to that, yet? I had a couple, myself, if anyone is interested in discussing that at all. [ Really, his first thought is destroying the Lewis and Clark with fire because who wants a reminder? Logically, he knows there's potentially a lot to be learned from the downed ship. ]
In the meantime, for those that require routine medical attention, there is some room in the clinic in town. The one in the castle is quite crowded and the staff are- [ another yaaaaaaawwwnn; it just goes on. ] Excuse me, good heavens, I'm ti- -Oh.
[ He's still holding that tea cup. Pity it's empty, but he's just learned a valuable lesson as he slides down the wall and falls heavily asleep in the TARDIS corridors; don't eat or drink anything that comes from unknown sources. ]
[[ooc: and that's this guy out for the count with a teal dear. also, the tardis is OPEN! small gift there, use the zero room wisely if you wanna. in absence of Five, tardis will prevent anyone from going too deep and send them 'round in circles near the console room/zero room/some bedrooms (not his) instead, if anyone wants to play with that. hey, if anyone happens across Five, be kind with a blanket, eh? over and out for 2 weeks, roger!]]

DOC? DOC!
[his heart's racing as he skids into the open TARDIS door] Shit. Okay, where is he, girl. [he places a hand on the console, not even bothering to worry about how different it all looks from what he knows. he's trying to listen, to wait for the instinct that Eleven had told him might kick in due to the telepathic field. there's nothing, but he remembers the remark about moving the Zero Room, and stops to smell.
aha. roses. he forges ahead in that direction and nearly trips over the Doctor's legs in his haste, two striped speedbumps.]
There you are. Hey! Hey, wake up, are you --
[he kneels next to him and puts both hands to his chest. okay. both hearts still going, good] -- unconscious. Great.
[he sighs, then wishes up the first thing he can think of - a mechanic's creeper board. awkwardly, he hefts the Doctor onto it, first his head and shoulders, then his legs, and pushes it into the Zero Room]
... Well, now what.

It's a magical room born of science that Zero room. Cut off from the influence and interference of the universe, an isolated dimension inside a dimension. So calm and quiet, it works its science-magic on all eventually, instilling peace, rest, tranquility, healing...
As for the Doctor, he's definitely down for the count thanks to whatever was in that tea. Just as well because... soft snoring. Well, he is on his back. He's going to be embarrassed when he does wake... ]

[he's always felt a little odd talking to the TARDIS, but never completely uncomfortable with it, since the Doctor did it all the time ... and he does talk to his broadcasting equipment sometimes, so he can understand how it'd go. he wishes up a pillow and carefully maneuvers it under the Doctor's head. it's no room at the Holiday Inn, but it'll be better for his neck than just being flat out on the board.
once that's done, he sits down next to him, back to the wall, and hugs his knees, closing his eyes and soaking up the peace. it's just the thing, really, before making his broadcast this evening. something to help him gather his thoughts and come to terms with everything that he slept through. he'll stay there a while, then leave and carefully close the door behind him]

...
Doctor?
[On getting no response, she's gonna go over to the TARDIS and find him in the Zero Room. Well. At least he's not dead.]

[HE DOESN'T KNOW WHERE THE TARDIS IS HAHAHA]
