[River looks a little worn down, a little tired but not bad. She's been hiding, keeping away from people after the Event Horizon and trying hard to keep herself as sane as she ever is with all the chaos that has been going through people's minds.

But she's smiling now, which is something.]

Faded into the walls for a while, slept for so long. Sorry. Back now, alive again. She's here if you need her.

[River smiles at the sight of Chell's words.]

Are you all right? I worried about you.

Had to hide. It was too crowded, everyone was too loud and in so much pain. She couldn't stay.

[silentrunning]

[Chell nods to herself before writing back.]

I can understand, a little. Everyone was in pain.

[She still is, some. But her mind's a little more like ice on a lake. It's okay, as long as you stay on the surface.]

So much pain, everyone was screaming inside for a while. Now it's quieter.

[And she is doing her damnedest to stay on the surface, to not delve too deeply. She usually does but now it's more of a fight than ever.]

I bet that had to hurt.

[Chell tries her best to keep her mind calm, and to even send a little of that wafting to River, along with gratitude and friendship. But she's not psychic, so who knows if it reaches the intended target. But she's really glad to see you.]
