Captain’s Log

I’d add a date, but I’ve no idea what world I’ve landed in, much less how the local time is measured. I know one thing, and one thing only: This isn’t Neverland. Not unless he’s grown more powerful by far since I was here last.

My ship is gone, as well as the rest of the rescue party. With luck, they’ve sailed on, though I fear for the success of their voyage without me to guide them. Not many have gone up against him and survived. I don’t care how much power the Queen and the Crocodile have. My knowledge and sailing abilities are indispensable if we’re to save Henry. They’ll need me.

I don’t recognize this land. I doubt it’s as pleasant as it appears. Magic always comes with a price, does it not? And a land such as this reeks with magic.

I’ll write more when I know more.

Everything has a beginning, Captain. And this is a new beginning. You could be a part of something revolutionary, and it could send you home.

To your ship.

And you aim to help me with that?

You misunderstand. For any reform to take place over the castle's tyranny, everyone must work towards the same goal. They must remain...mutual benefactors, even if each person does their work in their own manner.

[unhand]

[...huh. Queen's got a point.]

And how do you propose we work together against a castle? Most buildings I've known are not the sorts to be swayed by reason or popular demand.

You cannot expect me to think of everything. Perhaps time will bring the knowledge we need, and the wisdom with it. Or mayhap we will discover a way to grasp it in our own flesh and blood hands, in a way only we as one peoples can know, and crush the very life force from the castle.

I'm not one for swearing allegiance to any royalty, but I suppose you'll do well enough as a queen. Very inspirational.

Then I would have no choice but to receive a proper audience, when I am able, and you can decide for true if you still wish to do so. In the meantime I will find you a guide to assist you in your acclimation.

Hook is my name. [Not his only name, but the one most use.] And don't get your hopes up.

And how I had already lain all my hopes upon the shoulders of a man who names himself Hook and moments ago called me a tavern wench.

Many of the realms I've visited have no princes.

Besides, there are more important things than coin and prestige.
