Captain’s Log
I’d add a date, but I’ve no idea what world I’ve landed in, much less how the local time is measured. I know one thing, and one thing only: This isn’t Neverland. Not unless he’s grown more powerful by far since I was here last.
My ship is gone, as well as the rest of the rescue party. With luck, they’ve sailed on, though I fear for the success of their voyage without me to guide them. Not many have gone up against him and survived. I don’t care how much power the Queen and the Crocodile have. My knowledge and sailing abilities are indispensable if we’re to save Henry. They’ll need me.
I don’t recognize this land. I doubt it’s as pleasant as it appears. Magic always comes with a price, does it not? And a land such as this reeks with magic.
I’ll write more when I know more.

Look, if you want to talk, how about we talk how the Queen of England became the Queen of Paradisa? Just how long have you been here?
Emma Swan
[ Jeez lady, it's not all about you. It's all about her. ]
I arrived on the Eve before Christmas, at least that was the date here.
Anne Boleyn
So, wait. You've been here five months, and you're the queen?
Emma Swan
Perhaps in this one case, it is still a just a title in name alone.
Anne Boleyn
[ emma swan vs the 16th century - round one: fight. it's more of an aside though, really. ]
So, you don't ... do anything? I mean, I don't know the first thing about royalty firsthand, but I thought they, you know. Governed. Made laws, levied taxes, are people just okay with you doing that?
Emma Swan
LOOK IT'S JUST LIKE ENGLAND.]I have not done nothing. I have been working alongside these people to help them any way I can, and being certain that the city's recovery efforts are not left wanting.
Progress in assembling a proper parliament and army has not proven as swift as I would have hoped, but these people are remarkably slow to change given how often Paradisa itself alters our very lives nearly every fortnight.

Emma Swan
Regardless, one must always prepare. You do not create a guard and build an army after you have been attacked.
Anne Boleyn
Emma Swan
I wish to have an army for any defensive measure, and guards to take hold of criminals. Do you assume that all a prince's people are virtuous? Do you not understand that the people in the city have no way of protecting themselves against those here with magic powers, and that there are several women and children within the castle walls who go without protection daily? I wish for a parliament as much as an army, yet you focus only on the latter.
My goal is to create unity here, not strife, for if no one single person can conquer the castle then all must do so together. Wherever I have gone, I have preached the love and compassion of Jesus Christ, I have traveled alongside them with mine own two feet, and sewn clothes for them with mine own two hands. I would never impose my rule upon these people; Nor would I ever unnecessarily bring harm to a single innocent soul, native or foreign, before they are tried, no matter their origin or belief of my capabilities. Do not say so again.
Anne Boleyn
We don't need an army to defend it, it needs its people to protect each other. And that is what decent people will do. I'm not saying we don't need a police force, but an army?
Emma Swan
[ Really, how Anne was raised was far ahead of her time, at least education wise! She's all for lady power, but there are different kinds. ]
You have been here not a week and are already telling me what is needed to succeed and what is not. [ Which is great, really, but so rude about it... ] Perhaps you should learn more of the peoples and history here before bringing me your hasty conclusions. I grow weary.
Anne Boleyn
The women who can't overpower them, and I'm not saying those women couldn't still outsmart them and get away clean, they're not going to like having a bunch of people stronger than they are patrolling the streets with a free pass from royalty. That kind of power gets taken advantage of, especially where women are concerned. If it's them you want to protect, if you want them to feel safe, that's not the way to do it.
Emma Swan
You are reaching conclusions that are besotted with inaccuracies. Whatever it is you are picturing that I plan on doing, I believe the image you paint to be far different from what I am attempting to convey. Perhaps what you call a police force need not be so different, but as I said, I grow weary.
[ A little snap there, gosh Emma, you are so argumentative! At this point it's difficult for Anne to shield how exhausted she feels. ]
If you are this invested in matters of state, I would be interested to hear your opinions at a more appropriate time, when I may better phrase myself, as will you.
Anne Boleyn
[ SUSPICIOUS. ]

The reason I have only been communicating with you through these journals is because I am not in a fit state. Simple injuries that will soon heal.

I would never reduce a princess to naught but a serving girl, no matter how you feel you should be addressed. But I was introduced to something called beer recently that I found I like. That is in your America, hm?
