8th Abnormality - dictated

Hello everyone, well we've had an eventful few weeks now haven't we? I think after that business it would be nice for everyone to have a chance to unwind and relax and perhaps even get to know others.

Last month we had a pot luck supper for those not involved with the expedition and I thought it might be night to have it again so those who weren't here could also be involved.

If you are interested perhaps you would care to join me Sunday evening for supper in the main dinning hall of the castle.

As before you are welcome to bring food or just yourself, you may eat or socialize or simply be among others for some time. I've a better idea of how to lay things out so I think this will go much more smoothly this time around.

Also I am feeling rather out of my usual self since all that, I need to be working and I have some ideas I would like to discuss with you both.

Mind? Peter I was hoping I could count on you to man the dessert table. I think we got a few tummy aches after leaving it unattended last time.

[That business was behind them, and there was no reason to give it another thought. The people they loved were safe, it was time to move on..perhaps for all of them finally time to let go of those ghosts.]

I don't know, I might end up eating more of the dessert than anybody.

Should I station you over by the main courses instead?

That will be better for everyone. Have my friend Adam man the desserts.

I'll do that then, but you will be having some dessert I trust.

I'll sho up for the ambience and coffee again, I suppose.

Well you always bring your own flavor to an event, we'll be happy to have you.

I'll even try to not scowl at the coffee this time.

Wow, that's a big effort on your part. I'm impressed.

I think I should be working and I was thinking of looking into the various creatures and plant life outside the normal travel areas. I was hoping you might help me prepare for a little bit of a jaunt.

Cataloging things would be good work for me, and there may be species in need of our help out there.

Dude, yes. And if you haven't gone down to see Brian and Andy, I'm totally taking you.

[ does she sound excited? yes. oh yes she does. ]

Count me so in.

Does this mean you want to take a look at the Dead Zone sometime?

I haven't actually, but I would appreciate the introduction.

[Ashely sounding excited was always thrilling and frightening, her daughter had an intense streak.]

[ oh yes. be glad you weren't on the expedition, helen. that was a trip. /badumchish ]

[ she's still pretty sure she's the only person who likes it out there. ]

There has to be a better name for the species than that. But perhaps James would like to come along as well.

[She is, rather glad to have skipped out on that.]

You're enthusiasm for this...should it worry me?

And it was a pleasure to have you there, I hope you'll come again. We'll try to have new foods for you to sample this time.

Have you ever had peanut butter and jelly sandwiches? They are not gourmet offerings but I seem to recall Ashely loving them at your age.

That sounds like something we would have had to replicate. [ that's a no. ] Will some of those be there, too?

For you I will be sure to have them, it's a part of childhood that you should at least get to try.

And ice cream of course.

It'll be real ice cream, right? It's not replicated?

Sorry I wasn't here, we had a bit of an adventure during the last one, I'll try and stop by for the latest.

You know I'm always willing to chat however, what would you like to discuss?

It's quite alright, I'm rather glad you and Ashely had each other out there. I would have had to worry overly much had it only been one or the other.


I was hoping to get out of this... phase I'm in. Get back to being myself and I don't know that anyone has ever been more able to manage that than you. I can always count on you to be honest with me.

To that end I have heard about the varieties of species here and I admit my curiosity is building. I'd like to look into what is out there. Ashely tells me you have a few interesting specimens of your own.
