I don't really understand how the castle works. It does really horrible stuff sometimes, but other times it's kind of nice. And then there are times when it's really fun! So... I guess I'm a little confused.

Are we supposed to want to stay or are we supposed to want to leave? I have something really important to do back home but I don't mind being here for a while.

I know not what a milkshake is, but it would ruin nothing, and there is naught the matter with the drink. The Master Once-ler is overly cautious. You would need to consume quite a bit of wine for it to affect you in that way. Every boy your age drinks ale or wine, and the younger cut it with water, which is acceptable enough for you if you wish.

How can one be too young to drink, that makes no sense at all. Besides, twelve years of age means he is nearly a man grown, and he has done enough to prove himself so.

It should be his own choice if he drinks it or not, when he's old enough to understand the consequences. Because yep, it can actually hurt him, alcohol's still a drug.

Of course it is his choice, but you are not leaving it up to him. You need only teach him his limitations, and he is intelligent enough to learn. All you are doing is hiding him from something that is readily available to all where I am from. Neither our children nor our men or women suffer afflictions from it unless they partake in far too much.

With all due respect, we're not where you're from. I don't know if you have, like, I don't know, super bodies or just a better immunity to it, but where I'm from? It can be dangerous. And as his parent-guardian-kind-of-thing I don't want him drinking that.
