I am looking for a name.

I wonder if anyone here is familiar with the history of the places the British call New York and Boston. The name I am looking for belongs to a man who is alive in 1770. He may be associated with any of the following men: William Johnson, John Pitcairn, Thomas Hickey, Benjamin Church, and Haytham Kenway. I also wonder if anyone knows these names.

I am looking through the library here, but it is very large, and I am not making much progress.

[And... like he said, Connor can be found at a desk in the library with a huge stack of books next to him. He's trying not to read them very thoroughly, because knowing too much of the future of his home is probably not something he should mess around with. That may be why he's not really finding the name he seeks -- or the castle could be forcing his eyes to pass over the name every time.]

The assassins I know at home are the kind that try to kill me. Pretty sure you guys aren't the same thing, but it's still weird. Never thought I'd end up friends with people who call themselves that.

There is a difference between an ordinary assassin and a member of the Brotherhood. They are the same word, but they are not the same. Even Templars can be assassins; there is nothing special about a man who kills, apart from his skill. The Brotherhood of Assassins is much bigger than that. It is philosophy, and a desire for freedom.

So Ezio's said, though I think you word it a lot better. I don't see either of you as brutal killing machines, that's for sure. [Somewhere, Tim rages so hard he explodes into a fine powder.]

[Wording things correctly is extremely important to Connor, so that's... probably why that is. But he just shrugs.]

Of course, we do still kill. But we are not meant to harm innocents, or to kill when unnecessary.

I know. [A brief, thin smile.] I do similar work in Gotham, just--no killing. That's part of our code.

There's not too much to tell. We--the vigilantes of Gotham--bring criminals to justice, protect the innocent, stuff like that. Our identities are kept secret. I'm Batgirl, and our big boss is Batman. [You can laugh, Connor, it's okay. Everyone thinks she's crazy.] We have a whole team that covers the city. But we don't kill or use lethal force. We take criminals to the police, or places where they can serve time for their crimes.

[And break out to cause more havoc! Stephanie doesn't really like explaining the Bat-code in Paradisa, because everyone can point out all the valid holes in it.

Three years is a loooong time to think about it.]

[Yeah, he doesn't laugh, even if he privately thinks it's kinda dumb. Maybe it's a cultural thing, though... so he tries not to judge...

But he does nod.]

In the case of criminals, it is an understandable method. If you are not at war, solving things peacefully is the best solution.

[He laughs. FINE... he will let go of Connor for girl hugs, which he does. He hugs Stephanie and lifts her right off her feet in the process.]

Connor takes a subtle step backwards, just watching. Personal space!!]

[Stephanie laughs when she's lifted, then mouths the words YOU'RE WELCOME over Ezio's shoulder at Connor.]

[He sets her down again.]

Long enough to miss out on philosophical discussions with Stephanie.
