[She's up high, as high as she can possibly manage without being on the roof of the castle itself. She's not having a bad day exactly but it is the kind of day where she's wary of 3pole. There are people she wants to see though, people she wants to interact with, even if she can't quite bring herself to interact with them directly.
So she puts a call out to the journals. No words are spoken but she hums, offering out a song for anyone to do with what they wish. She's not opposed to words though and will use them if they are use with her.]

[River spins and sways, her hands thrown up in the air as she moves. The music s lovely, t's what she needed and her sisterthing is even more what she craved.]

Katniss is one of her favorites.]

Whatever the case may be, a tiny voice, obviously a small child's, hums a little melody of her own, building on and attempting to complement the stranger's. And she mostly succeeds, hitting only a few awkward notes and falling out of timing once or twice.
On her end, Rise is curious how the girl on the other end of the journals will respond...?]

She's really curious about this girl now, but she doesn't want to stop the song before it's over. So she wishes up a pink pen and writes, in a slightly awkward, childish script that she can't seem to do anything about in her current body.]
I'm Rise. What's your name?

River.
Rise and River, it sounds nice.

Nice to meet you, River-chan!
[Rise's own humming perks up a bit more. In her small, youthful voice, it has an infectious, saccharine cheerfulness to it.]
Do you sing over the journals a lot?

She'll arrive at his door with an expression of excitement, of pleasure. And when he sees her, she will wrap hr arms around him and press a kiss to his cheek.]

Missed you too, mei mei.
dictated;
That's pretty. Does it have words?
Re: dictated;
[She hums back, swaying a little as she does so. It's Jade, Jade is a good thing. She is a sister and a comfort and a sweet, sweet thing.]
No, not yet. We can give it words though..
dictated;
No, we should make a new song. Like the constellations- they can be all ours.
Re: dictated;
[Now that makes her smile, the very idea of creating something new with Jade makes her happy in a way she can't entirely explain.[
Yes, we should. Come up with something that's just ours. Make constellations and songs and a culture all our own.
dictated;
Good! That's the best idea I've heard all day, River.

Sometimes it's nice to get away.

He knows she couldn't get away from people entirely even if she wanted to. He knows that she would get lonely, too, eventually.

[She smiles at the sight of the little drawing and she hums a little more purposefully. The tune is now something that a ballerina could dance to, something *she* has danced to even, and she finds herself swaying lightly to the music as she thinks about it.]

[she smiles when she hears the tune change and she starts to draw a unicorn next. they're her favorite. she kinda wants to get up and dance now. she loves dancing.]

[River smiles, swaying to the sound of the music and even going so far as to shift her tune to match Chell's. They'll create something beautiful together, something lovely.
After a while, River leaps down from her spot, still humming and carrying the journal with her. She's on a hunt fo the other girl, using her mind and the song to track her.]

[Chell likes hide and seek. So she writes in the journal.]
You and me? Hide and seek?
dictated;
Katherine had been in her room, pouring over a book from the library, while her journal was resting on the ground beside her, open. Just in case something of importance popped up on the journal. And when she heard the melody from the it, she closed the book she was reading and set it aside in favor of retrieving the other. ]
