[dictated while she's sitting in the library! she's quiet, though, so as not to disturb the other people ... reading ...]
So, have you guys heard of the flower Amaryllis? It's a gorgeous red flower. But there's a story about how it came about ... it's said that there was a nymph who was in love with a man, who was really attractive and strong and all that. But her love was unrequited, so she asked this oracle for some advice on how to capture his attention. She heard that the one thing he'd like most in the world was a flower that was so unique that it didn't exist yet.
So, going by the oracle's advice, she came to his door every night for a month, and stabbed herself in the heart with a golden arrow. The guy never even answered the door for a whole month, but when he finally did, all the blood she had spilled had turned into a beautiful red flower.
I guess she died? She must have, right?
Well, whatever. It's kind of weird how so many stories say that beautiful things can only come out of tragedy.
[ooc: open over the journal or in person! tags will be a bit slow, sorry :(]

In any case, I've been in a perpetual series of whirlwinds ever since I've arrived. Some people seem to be far luckier. I've spoken to people who have been here for far longer and have barely had half the misfortunes...
Well, [Ahem] in actuality, he's actually a bit of a...'straight man,' himself...Or so he claims.

What do you mean by that?
no subject
...That he is a 'straight man'? I am hoping I didn't misunderstand your question...

Well, you seemed like the serious one ... am I wrong?
no subject
Oh! Oh...That's what you meant. Yes, you could very much say that I am the straig--er, serious one.

I wasn't trying to question anyone's sexuality if that's what you're thinking.

You say you're the serious one, but I don't think I've laughed like this in awhile.

Yeah, sure, if it'll help things run more smoothly. I've been here longer than just about anyone else so I'll probably know whatever you have to ask.

I am a prosecuting attorney. That is to say, it is my job to convict someone accused of a crime. It is usually expected of me to do everything in my power to achieve a 'guilty' verdict in the court of law. My friend, Phoenix Wright, however, does the opposite. He is a defense attorney, and, as it might be evident, it is his job to whatever he is able to defend his client - the accused - and acquit them of their charges.
In other words, it is my job to find people guilty, and it is his job to find people innocent.
It is in my most earnest opinion that should you divulge any such information to me, it might be quite a bit more fruitful should we all meet together in discussion. That is, if you do not mind. You are very welcome to state any reservations to the idea, but, in any case, I do believe that he can offer some additional insight due to the fact that he's on the other end of the spectrum where our professions are concerned.

Well, I don't think anyone will have a problem with him attending the meetings, if that's what you're worried about.

...Yes, there are. I do believe I had to receive an invite to attend my first meeting. After all, what are the determining factors for being inducted into the Peace Patrol? How do they determine the morality of those who join?
Edgeworth
Well, when I joined a few years ago, there were interviews for each candidate who wanted to join. Then people started complaining that they were too exclusive, and that we were hiding stuff from people who could be allies, blah blah blah, so then the leaders were like, well, I guess we'll just filter out bad guys with the journal! So now a lot of the stuff is just filtered to people in the Peace Patrol, AND people who aren't evil or would share the info with people who are evil. The journal filters generally work pretty well, I guess, so anyone who can see them is probably fine. If someone can be vouched for by someone else who's already invited, too, then that's usually fine.
At least, that's been their thought on it. But to be completely honest, after the last meeting I don't think it has a chance of surviving much longer, not without some serious changes.
asdkjhdf didn't see this, sorry. >_<; [filter; Ino]
...Who is in charge of handling the meetings?
it's all good <3 [Edgeworth]
