[ Duke's voice hasn't changed much, but he sounds oddly more alive. Cheerful, in a slightly annoyed way, even. ]

... Did you get distracted by something...

[ There's a pause as he finds the journal - or the voices in it. ]

Has anyone seen him? Elucifur is Krityan, and he's said his antennae are an unusual color. He puts beads on them, I know that. Where did he find a cave....

[Will yawns as he comes out in search of him. He blinks at the presence of a clearly younger version of his roommate.]

[ Duke pauses, turning to look toward the voice. Did Elucifur leave him somewhere more familiar than he thought? ]

Lost, I think that may be the most of it.

... The imperial one in Zaphias, yes.

[ And now Duke is more unsure. ]

I don't know of any other ones, but if Elucifur did it wouldn't surprise me.

I'm sorry. I have never heard of Zaphias. This is the castle Paradisa.

[ Duke shifts his weight for a moment, arms crossing slightly as he thinks. Strange thing other than age, he actually uses body language- ]

That... doesn't sound like anywhere in the empire. or the guilds, that I know of.

[Will hesitates as he tries to figure out how to explain.]

This place... it exists outside of the worlds any of us know.

[ Some silence from Duke, and then he's moving about for a moment, searching for something by the way he's moving his feet-

This spot of the cave floor has moss. He takes a seat there, and rubs at his head. ]

How does that work?

This place is like another world. It draws people here from their home worlds and traps us here.

[ There's more unfamiliar voices than he's used to asking about how he's doing. ]

It may be that it isn't that you are being tricked, and more that you are not where you think you are. Do you know where you were last?

... Halure? Aspio was close enough to make sense for waking in a cave, as that's where it is. I don't think I would have slept through a trip to the Hollow or any of the Krene in the region....
