Team Tembo: Day one

[By now you should have already woken up to your surroundings. Your camp is in the jungle, surrounded by tents, vehicles and cages full of dinosaurs. Wander around, check out the armoury, wonder why there are a bunch of dinosaurs in cages, or get yourself a tent]

[Lara woke up and immediately got out of her tent. Almost at a panic, but she managed to not freak out yet. A camp in the middle of the forest? That's nothing new to her, but why? Is she still in Paradisa?

No one seems to notice her, as if she's part of this group all along... But being around armed strangers she thought of evening out the odds and look for weapons for herself. She tried to look for any clues to give her an idea where she is]

InGen? Is this some kind of research party?

[She reached the armory and almost gasped at the amount of weapons stocked in the tent... She walked around, as if window shopping, to pick a weapon she's familiar with and could carry around]

[Conveniently, Ezio is already at the armory, scoping everything out. He's definitely getting the most concealable weapons possible, and then two more sizable ones. That works for him.

He is momentarily distracted, however, by the beautiful young woman who has joined him. He scopes her out, none-too-subtly, and replies in that heavily inflected Italian voice:]

Would a research party arm itself like a military?

Good point. Unless we are in unfriendly territory... By the looks of it, we might be.

[assassino]

[Ezio smiles, pocketing a small hunting knife.]

Ah, but are we not the unfriendly ones? We have no fortifications, just guns. A group with no defenses has nothing to fear.

[lara_the_explorer]

[Lara picked up an assault rifle. She nods, impressed, at least these guns aren't old and mixed with scrap material. She picks up a few accessories and puts them together. She seems to know a lot about guns

But then she saw a cache of weapons, separated away from the regular guns.It looks like tranquilizer guns, used for big-game hunting]

You know, might be right about that...

[assassino]

[He follows her gaze.]

Oh?

[lara_the_explorer]

[Lara carefully picks out one of the tranquilizer darts to show to Ezio]

These are tranquilizer darts... They could knock out an elephant out cold. Make them easier to transport. Or worse, kill.

[assassino]

[He nods, though he's not sure at all how it works.]

If killing is an issue, then why bring lethal weapons as well? It seems rather... conflicting.

[lara_the_explorer]

Definitely... And I have bad feeling about this.

[assassino]

Do you have much experience with this?

[lara_the_explorer]

[Lara puts the dart back in the box and leaves it the way she found it. It was hidden there for a reason]

Not with hunting, if that is what you mean. I'm only know someone who does... Or did.

[But killing? Yes. Being an assassin, Ezio might notice the "look" of someone who's got a lot of blood on their hands]

[assassino]

But you do "research" with weaponry.

[lara_the_explorer]

A friend trained me in survival. In case thing go bad while we're at an expedition like this, far from civilization.

[assassino]

And yet one would wonder...

[But he drops it, content to smile and reach for her hand.]

Where are my manners? I am Ezio Auditore. You are...?

[lara_the_explorer]

[Lara appreciates not asking her about it more. She doesn't really want to talk about what happened in Yamatai. But all of this is just reminding her of it. She smiled back and shook his hand]

Lara Croft.

[assassino]

[He goes for the shake, but he doesn't let go of her hand at its end. Instead, he bends to kiss the back of her hand.]

I'm pleased to meet you, Miss Lara.

[lara_the_explorer]

[Lara's grim expression lightened when she laughed. But don't mistake it for thinking what Ezio did was ridiculous. She's quite charmed actually]

Same to you, Ezio.

[assassino]

[He chuckles, warmly.]

Good. Shall we keep each other company on this adventure?

[lara_the_explorer]

[Then Lara was presented with a choice... She's still stuck with the idea that she's a doom magnet. Everyone around her somehow dies, and she blames herself for it. But not knowing what's in here, having someone to watch your back would be smart...]

Sure. Just watch yourself out there.

I am not terribly worried about that.

I am moreso concerned about a young woman out here, as capable as she looks.
