[By now you should have already woken up to your surroundings. Your camp is in the jungle, surrounded by tents, vehicles and cages full of dinosaurs. Wander around, check out the armoury, wonder why there are a bunch of dinosaurs in cages, or get yourself a tent]

What? No, they're dinosaurs.

These are dinosaurs? I thought dinosaurs were small.

[Gestures to the size of a small dog...]

Uh... some of them? I guess? Like, they were pretty much the only animals on the planet except for rats and stuff for a real long time, so. They came in all kind of species and sizes.

[He looks back at the cage, seemingly a bit put out, and mutters.] And some of them are awesome...

[Brock, you are talking to a guy who has a rather Biblical understanding of the Earth's history.]

[Like he knows that......]

Uh, 60 million years before my time? 70? Something like that.

[He gives Brock a genuinely baffled look.]

Well, why are they here?

Yeah, no clue on that one. Maybe we're in some kind of... dinosaur... world change.

Then why are there future inventions here?

[samson]

That's a... really good question.

Maybe it's something dumb like that Pokemon world.

I hated that place...

I know... but that's what I'm saying, right? Some dinosaurs are really badass, with big claws and teeth and stuff. That'd be pretty cool.

[He just wants to fight a dinosaur. Is that so much to ask.]

I suppose we are here to make sport of them, then?

[samson]

Yeah... [He glances over at the cages.]

Maybe. Like a man-on-dinosaur cage fight? Or something? That's... kinda depressing, actually.

How is that depressing?

[samson]

Putting animals in cages and fighting them is always kinda sad. The guy I used to work for tried to teach an orangutan to box for... pretty much the same reason. It was so sad.

Is it really such a terrible concern? They are just animals.

[samson]

I mean, that's the point. They're dumb animals, so why make 'em fight? Just 'cause you can?

[He looks back at these stupid herbivore dinosaurs... ugh. The least cool of all dinos.] It's kind of sadistic.

Because it is entertaining? You've never seen dogs set upon bears? Cockfights?

Yeah... that stuff is illegal where I'm from, Ezio. 'cause it's kind of fucked up.

Uhhh. 'cause it's cruel? I don't know how to explain this to you.

It is hard to get people in my time to give a shit about orphan children and poor women, brother, I think you would have a difficult time impressing upon them the dangers of cruelty to mere animals...

Is that a Native American belief, or does it extend to the other Americans, too?
