Team Tembo: Day one

[By now you should have already woken up to your surroundings. Your camp is in the jungle, surrounded by tents, vehicles and cages full of dinosaurs. Wander around, check out the armoury, wonder why there are a bunch of dinosaurs in cages, or get yourself a tent]

[Oh look. Guns. Bond quickly arms himself with a few pistols, slinging the strap of a rifle over his shoulder as he glances over the rest of the arms. Quite a large selection, he is impressed.

That being done he sets to work walking around the camp to get a feel for the area and where they've found themselves this time.]

[Kate rounds the corner and sees Bond, armed to the teeth, just like her. She freezes, her hand on her gun. Last time something like this had happened, Bond had attacked her. She scans his face, looking for a sign that he was lucid.]

[Really, Kate? So distrustful. Bond nods a greeting]

Kate.

[not_nikkiheat]

[More like cautiously optimistic. She relaxes and returns the nod.]

James. Any idea where the hell we are?

[last_rat_standing]

[Eh whatever he doesn't care either way. He simply shakes his head]

Not yet.

And just how do you plan to find out? Something tells me these dinosaurs aren't going to stay docile very long.

It's what I do. [He smirks] There are any number of ways to get information in a place like this.

I'll take your word for it. Are you familiar with InGen?

[last_rat_standing]

I've heard of it. It's associated with a man named John Hammond. A First-Gen.

[lara_the_explorer]

[Lara was passing by from her short reconnaissance of the camp, armed to the teeth as well and wearing a new outfit. She noticed James walking around the camp as well]

[last_rat_standing]

[He nods in greeting. Looking good, Lara. He's wearing slacks and a polo shirt with a black leather jacket, somewhat dressed down from his usual shirt and tie.]

Glad to see others not taking this situation lightly.

So am I. [Lara adjusts the sling on her shoulder]

Have you had something to eat yet? You better get some before the only bearable food runs out.

No. [Bond looks around, nonchalant.] Securing the perimeter takes priority.

[lara_the_explorer]

Fair enough. You sound like a pro. Military?

[last_rat_standing]

[He eyes her for a moment. He's not about to go spilling his job title to just anyone, you know.]

In another life, yes. RAF.

[lara_the_explorer]

Protector of Her Majesty's airspace, eh? I figured you were part of the armed forces when I first saw you.

[last_rat_standing]

[Oh if you only knew, Lara. He smirks]

Was it that obvious?

[Gren has similar thoughts and heads over here almost as soon as he spots it. Logic dictates, if they're available, they're going to be needed, and he's not going to sit back and wait for that to happen.

He comes to check over the selection, inspecting a rifle with an expert eye]

Well, I guess we can't complain about being well prepared.

[Bond's eyes flit up to look at the man before returning to task at hand - namely making sure the handgun he'd picked up was in good working order]

No. And I'm sure with this supply they'll be in high demand.

[both_neither]

Yeah, that's kind of what concerns me.

[last_rat_standing]

[He nods]

At least this time we ought to be prepared.

[both_neither]

Mmm. Still, it would be good for some direction. There doesn't seem to be anybody in charge, but I have my doubts the castle would just drop us here with no instructions and no reason to do anything but wait - as much as I'd prefer that.

[last_rat_standing]

[Bond looks over a rifle as he picks it up. Weapons are good. Weapons mean he can take down whatever comes after them and whatever might happen.]

Information will come.

[both_neither]

Probably not as early as we'd like. [He says, remembering Event Horizon with a frown. He starts checking over the pistols, noticing several are meant to be loaded with darts instead of bullets. Useful.]

[last_rat_standing]

[James is decidedly avoiding all tranquilizer weapons. Why put something to sleep when you can just kill it?]

It rarely does.
