RACE TO THE BOAT
[After that message it's time to pack up and get the heck out of dodge. Both teams have a short trek across dinosaur infested territory to get to the docks, where the cruise ship is waiting to whisk them away. There are a ange of hervibores, and whatever surviving raptors better them and it.
The remaining adult T-Rex seems mysteriously absent throughout all of this, as is Tembo. Weird]
[[No sections make your own. If you want a mod NPC'd dinosaur, please ask for one in the comments (and specify herbivore or raptor), otherwise, NPC your own. Powers are still functioning | Day four ooc post | Plot hub]]

does exactly the opposite to what he's been told.]

No. He would not. He would not run. He would profit from his brother's pain again. He would not be the instrument of his destruction.
The dinosaur is not so lucky.]
No! Get off of him!
[Felix raises his arm towards the raptor. Much like it had happened before, then a split second where the air is calm before a sound like a shockwave is heard, a gust of air emanating from himself and rushing towards the lizard at incredible speed, enough to blow back his hair and send ripples through the grass all around them.
The next instant the raptor stiffens and screeches in pain, rocking back and falling to the ground in violent convulsions before finally laying still, blood leaking from it's mouth and eyes.]

[All he can manage to say is] Fuck.

[Felix takes one step towards his brother, then another and then...
The leaves from the side explode in a flurry of motion and sharp claws, clamping it's teeth on his lower leg.
For a moment it's only shock as he's yanked backwards, falling face first to the ground. The scream only comes in the following moment as the dinosaur continues it's momentum, intent on dragging the wizard into the trees for dinner and possibly revenge for killing it's pack-mate. The why is of less concern to Felix than the absolute agony of those sharp teeth cutting nearly to the bone]

No!
[He's, quite frankly, terrified, but at the same time, he knows that something has to be done and at the moment it looks like he's the only one to do it. Particularly when the other option is to leave Felix to die horribly. He runs as fast as he can back towards Felix, calling over his shoulder to Mildmay:]
If something else comes, shout!

It was the red hair that caught his eye first. Well, that and the blood. He fired as he ran, aiming above the raptor in the hopes it would be distracted enough to release Felix. When that didn't work he skidded to a halt, aiming a bullet straight at the thing's head.]

The raptor, angered, hisses at Bond and shifts it's stance to lunge at him]

There's an almost deafening crack, and a sudden flash of what appears to be lightning comes out of thin air to strike the raptor, which convulses once, and then thumps to the ground]

He heads straight to Felix, surveying his injuries with a practiced eye]
no subject
Good. You're...okay...
[There's the tiniest slip of his accent that goes along with that word]
[It's hard to tell through his trousers but the bite marks in his leg are almost bone-deep and already soaking into the ground under him at an alarming rate]

[Thamuris hadn't noticed how badly Felix was bleeding until Mildmay spoke, but now that he glances down and sees the blood soaking into clothing, pooling on the ground, his stomach lurches. Some of it is pure reaction to the fact that that much blood shouldn't be outside someone, and the rest of it is fear. But he's been reading, and while books are imperfect teachers in things such as this, he does have a pretty good idea of what he should do.]
It could be. [His voice is shaky as he answers Mildmay's question, moving to kneel by Felix's side. He's loathe to do anything that would cause more pain, but he knows he should probably see exactly how bad it is. He carefully picks at the ruined trouser leg to get a better look, and then swears under his breath.
It could be worse, he knows that. No broken bone as far as he can tell, and there's nothing worse than dirt in the wound - but it looked deep. And the bleeding wasn't slowing in the slightest. He didn't have any sort of medical supplies - but his shirt was in passable condition, at least. He began shrugging it off to tear into makeshift bandages]

Bandage it as tightly as possible. We need to move.
[With that he stands and takes a few steps away, not out of discomfort or to give the trio private time (that would presume he has a heart to be that sympathetic). He checks the clip in his pistol to see how much ammo he has, turning a slow circle to make sure those bloody raptors aren't planning an ambush now that they were wounded. He'll step in to carry Felix once he's ready to move. Until then he's going to make damn sure none of those things get close.]

There - that's the best I can do without more supplies, I think.
no subject
This is wrong. They shouldn't be saving him, and it will mean nothing if the dinosaurs find them anyway. But he's a bit too occupied to insist they leave him there.]

We've got to get to the ship. [Looking over the pair he realizes that there's no way either of them would be able to get Felix there on their own - even less so now that Mildmay is wounded. His face doesn't change as he gently slides his arms under Felix's knees and shoulders, picking him up as if he weighed nothing. (geez this guy's scrawny)]
Come on.
[with a jerk of his head towards the ship he starts moving in that direction.]

[Thamuris gives Mildmay a small, tired smile]
You're welcome. [He glances over at Bond] Go on ahead - I don't think we can keep up with you.
[Him for slightly different reasons than Mildmay, but either way, Felix needs more help than they can give him here]

Hope you weren't looking for any words of encouragement, Felix, because he hasn't got any. He's tired, been injured himself and just wants to get off of this bloody island as quickly as possible]
