[After that message it's time to pack up and get the heck out of dodge. Both teams have a short trek across dinosaur infested territory to get to the docks, where the cruise ship is waiting to whisk them away. There are a ange of hervibores, and whatever surviving raptors better them and it.

The remaining adult T-Rex seems mysteriously absent throughout all of this, as is Tembo. Weird]

[He grins and nods again. Yes! Yes he is. Wow you're smart, Danny.]

[He'd been hanging around Bunny long enough to get the basics on guardians. Despite that ridiculous pointless grudge for havingwhite hair, ice powers and a sense of humor.]

So...what do you guard?

[Sandy thinks for moment about how to answer this. It's much easier to do with a demonstration but he doesn't want to put the boy to sleep to do it. Finally an idea occurs to him.

He holds out his hands. The sand whirls and comes together above his hands to form a golden bed made of sand. A little girl sleeps in that bed. He holds up a finger and points, as he does so a unicorn forms above her head and starts prancing around. Good dreams! Get it?]

You guard... sleeping kids and unicorns? [He winces at the unicorn. He'd nearly been trampled by a stampede of ghost unicorns once. Nasty things.]

[Sandy double facepalms, the dream sand creations disappearing in a big POOF of sand as he does so. If any of that sand gets too close to Danny's face he might start to feel a little sleepy.

With a giant exaggerated sigh he lowers his hands, holding them together beneath one cheek, tilting his head and closing his eyes to pretend to sleep. As he quite dramatically demonstrates what sleeping might look like a little sand cloud appears above his head and starts dancing around.]

Oh. Sleep.

[He doesn't sound enthusiastic about it.]

[He waggles a hand from side to side. You've almost got it, Danny! He points at the clouds floating above his head before pretending to sleep again. Dreams! Get it? He opens one eye to see if he does]

[He sighs again. Okay. One last try. He pantomimes sleeping again but THIS time instead of shapes above his head he regards Danny for a moment before reaching out and lightly touching his forehead. In an instant there's a golden figure soaring around Danny's head. Surely you recognize your OWN dreams, Danny.]

[Finally!! His face breaks into a HUGE grin and he claps, nodding. YES! Yes, DREAMS, Danny. Dreams!]

You sure you're not related to Nocturne?

[He rolls his eyes dramatically and sighs, nodding. YES he's sure he's not related to this Nocturne character]

Sorry! Just asking!

I mean, he's the only guy I ever met with power over dreams. [A pause.]

Technically. I mean, I figured out how to go into dreams and wake people up. But that's not really the same thing.

[He tilts his head curiously a the boy. Well this conversation just got somewhat more interesting. He blinks and points a finger at him, the question apparent in his eyes.

You? You could do that?]

Yeah, its kind of weird. Right?

[He nods. Yes, it is pretty weird.]

I can just kind of dive into people's dreams. Don't really know how it works.

[silent_guardian]

[He tilts his head at the boy, reaching up to tap a finger against his chin as he thinks.

That is a curious ability, Danny. He really would like to know how you do that.]
