[In his search for a field, Tenma stops by the duck pond. He carelessly tosses his bags and journal to the side, letting it record the sound of a soccer ball being kicked around]

Three! Three, Thre--uwaaa!

[He slips on a particularly slick part of the grass, landing on his backside while the ball flies up and lands in the pond. Unfortunately, that managed to hit a duck, who starts chasing him, quacking angrily.]

Gaah! I'm sorry! Ow! Ow!

[Conan happened to be outside today kicking a soccerball around as he thought over the situation. He stares in blank surprise at the scene.]

...Do you need some help?

[The incessant pecking behind him stops him and is replaced by loud, quite frantic and pained squawking as Toothless thrashes the duck in his mouth.

What? He couldn't help but take advantage of this opportunity.]

[soccerwhisperer]

[Confused, he looks. Cue silent screaming.]

[soccerwhisperer]

[He stops, a little stunned because FINALLY ANOTHER SOCCER PLAYER but that lets the duck peck him in the face]

Ahh! Please help!

[modernholmes]

[Conan bounces his soocerball off his knee and kicks it towards the duck. He intended to send it close enough to frighten it away without doing any damage.]

[The duck eventually goes limp in Toothless grasp. Before he devours it, though, he pauses, noticing he's being watched, and looks back at the child.

Uhh.

Hi.

Nothing to see here......]

[soccerwhisperer]

[The duck flaps, rebuffed, and goes, deciding it's not worth it]

[a small whimper kind of escapes from his open mouth]

nothing to see as he just sort of gets this duck down in two bites.

and then belches

because he is a well-mannered gentledragon]

No problem. I haven't seen you around here before. Are you new?

[soccerwhisperer]

Good d--dragon...? [Yeah Tenma, back away slowly]

[he gets up] I just got here. My name is Matsukaze Tenma!

Say, do you play soccer? That was an awesome kick you did!

Of course! Soccer is my favorite sport.

[soccerwhisperer]

Mine too! What position do you play? I'm a midfielder.

[modernholmes]

I've played midfielder, but I've played other positions too.

[soccerwhisperer]

Really? Did you have to play keeper sometimes?

[modernholmes]

Not often. I usually play midfielder or forward.

[soccerwhisperer]

How often do you play anyway? I'm in my school's soccer club.

[modernholmes]

I play a lot, but I'm not in any clubs.

[soccerwhisperer]

Why not?

Because I'm in the detective club.

Wow! So you're that smart too? That's amazing!
