He came home.
What terrible months we have seen, before even the dog days arrive!
I say we put an end to it, at once. The Castle drinks our joys as greedily as it feeds on our sorrows; we might show it that happiness is what we seek. Happiness beyond bound, which we would gladly offer as payment for our borrowed time, and no more tears.
Summer brings music and merriment to the streets of Rome, gypsies and pilgrims alike dancing together. We can do similarly here.

Come to think of it, Lucrezia does seem like she's from a world (or time) that wouldn't really know anything about pop music...]
Well, um... I dunno how much you know about showbiz, but back home, I was an idol...
[Because clearly this terminology will go over well with the Pope's daughter.]

An idol? Something worshiped.

Oh, it just means I perform on stage for people!
[Plus modeling in magazines and ads, acting in TV dramas, and generally being thrown wherever the entertainment industry thinks she'll get attention and generate income. No reason to get into all of that right now, though.]
I don't have a lot of my own songs yet, but I know some others I can practice. And I can always learn new ones!

[ There are performers in her time surely, but they are not worshiped, though the characters they play might. The Roman legends, the more tragic the better. ]
