DWN 010 - Air [Dictated/Action]

[Filtered to anyone with musical talent/people who frequent Death Match.]

I offered to update the music selection on the jukebox in the bar. I thought it might be interesting to add a personal touch to the selection. So I'm looking for anyone who can sing or play an instrument that'd be interested in recording a few tracks to play in the bar.

As for anyone who actually goes to Death Match, any preferences or suggestions in terms of what gets played there?

[With that said, Blues can be found in Death Match. He's got the jukebox opened up and is tinkering around with the parts in it and switching out old songs for new ones.]

I cannot sign or play, as you know, but I might be able to at least suggest a few songs. I am not forbidden from saying their names, after all.

I don't see why not, what do you have in mind?

...And before you arrived here, did you write any songs?

I know a few tavern tunes - jaunty, and I am sure you can give them a more modern twist once you hear them.

Hmm, no. I had the Bardic Gift, but I was not one for writing - I never much had time. I left that to the true trained Bards.

Fair enough, well at the very least I'm sure we can work with the tunes you know. You'll be able to at least hear them again.

I would love that very much. I feel bad asking people to play for me - I still haven't gotten the hang of my stereo all the way yet.

I feel almost silly. It should be easy, but the controls keep confusing me, or I will hit something and I'm not sure what I did in the first place...

I can't imagine you've much experience with technology if your from a time when jaunty tavern songs were common. I imagine it'll take some time to adjust to something like that.

Quite. I have had to adjust to many things here....

I can only imagine. This place seems to enjoy making people adjust.

Indeed, it does. I admit, I am... intrigued by the other lands I hear and read of. At the same time though, they scare me.

And just why is that?

The things I read are not always good. I worry if such things will one day work themselves into my world. I worry my people will not be prepared.

Hm, good point. Well there's no way to know for sure whether such things or not, or whether your people will be prepared for them. I'm sure they'd find a way to manage, one way or another.

They will have to, but it does not stop me from worrying still.

Well it would be easy to just switch out the songs for variety. We have a group a large group of rather talented people around here, may as well put that talent to use.

Heck yeah! I mean...especially if a bunch of us can get together and jam or something.

Just a touch. Still it's not a bad thing to hear it.

If the response is good, I don't see why it couldn't become something that happens regularly.
