Either I can't see tears anymore, or tears just don't exist here. With the reading I've done, it looks like it's likely... the former. It's probably my loss.

I used to be able to open tears, windows into other worlds. Enter them and take things from them, as well. I suppose it makes sense that this place wouldn't allow me to do that. Finding an exit would be all too easy.

[A sigh.]

I was hoping my second entry would be a happier one, for those of you that want to leave.

There has to be some way to get it back. There's so much we don't know about this place.

That sounds difficult even for someone consciously trying not to.

It's easy enough. It's the only thing you can do.

I'm sure it's not the only thing. This world seems to be limitless. There's so much more to discover.

If you stay long enough. Most people are gone before they can count six moons.

I've heard. It's strange, for the castle to do that, but there's not much rhyme or reason to be had, from what I've read. [She's not sure if she'd rather stay or go back to Columbia, to finish things with Booker.]

Are you saying you don't have any friends here?

I have my brother. [ and her little pack. ] I don't need friends.

[ it means a less chance of being hurt when another person inevitably disappears. ]

[Elizabeth's never really had friends herself, so she can't really go on about the power of friendship.]

Family? You have family here? That's fantastic... did you get here first?

[ good because arya's mastered the perfect rebuttal to the friendship speech: giving the journal to nymeria to destroy mid-spiel. ]

How old are you? [She sounds young, and while Elizabeth has seen a few young children here, she really hopes there aren't too many.]

[ arya makes a face that goes unseen. she hates this question. it only serves to remind her of the mess her life has become that she does not even know that. ]

[ it's an answer for the sake of giving an answer. she won't tell a stranger, "I don't know anymore." ]
