I've been here for about a month now... gotten accustomed to this place, learning the layout of the castle, things like that... Still not quite used to those "events" but I doubt I ever will be.

I think I've vacationed long enough. If I'm not going to be leaving anytime soon, I might as well get a job before I go stir crazy.

I'd prefer a security position. I was in the U.S. Military so it's... kind of all I know. I can do other things but combat, defending, patrolling are where my skills mostly lie. If anyone's hiring, let me know.

From what I hear no one really gets used to them, you just try to find ways to minimized the casualties.

What did you do in the military? Branch?

Not much in the way of military here, they run expeditions now and then and some of the world changes get pretty hairy but most of the time it's weird fucking shit that just annoys you.

Well I just got here and within a month I was trying to save people from dinosaurs. I know there was a nasty space thing not too long before that. Seems like something is going on all the time to varying degrees of fuck-you-up.

Yeah, I got here about the same time. I wish there was a way to try and figure out when these things are going to happen so we could prepare for them.

Yeah trying to piece that together myself. Some sort of rhyme or reason behind it. Almost feels like we're flavor of the month sometimes. Some people stay a short while and go others have been her years. I don't think even they get used to the events, from the people I've talked to.

I wonder if anyone's tried to really research when the events happen then. I didn't see anything on that one guide about it.

Trying to do that now actually. Looking for a larger over all algorithm that might help in predicting things.

What do I do? Oh, well, I like to tend to the garden outside of the castle and explore. I like exploring a lot, as we hobbits are naturally curious people. [He notices you staring, Raiden. But he's trying not to shuffle on his feet too much.]

I've been kind of lazy since arriving here. Watching movies, playing video games... Not really sure what to do with myself.

I don't know what those things are but surely, there must be a job for someone of your status? An army man, you say?

Save for those events, there doesn't seem to be much call for military personnel around here. Unless actin' as security at a clinic is your thing.

Can't say I know. I don't think there's any one person in charge of the place. You may want to just write a filter to the clinic staff for that.

Second floor, you can't miss it. I think I heard somethin' about there being a clinic in the town too.

It hardly ever does. They say it is better to try and engage than be engaged, though the Castle makes that quite difficult.

I think the clinics in town could use more security. I've mostly been handling it alone, but another to help at night or shifts in the day would be welcome, I think.

Well... I suppose so, yes. But I am not in charge of the clinic itself. I also run double duty as a nurse of sorts since I know field dressing and have a Healing Gift.

Since they seem to have a decent amount in the castle clinic, I'd be interesting in helping out with the town one.
