Has anyone had luck in attempting to trade clothes or wish for new garments from the castle? These trousers are uncomfortably stiff, but my own clothing has stubbornly disappeared. And I don't actually require these spectacles to see.
And while I'm writing - would anyone be interested in a game of cards? The man with whom I normally play Long Tiffany is ill, and my evenings have been rather quiet.

is it something just two people can play? :D

we should play jenga, too
or poker! :o
no subject
I'm not familiar with those games. Are they also played with cards?
no subject
jenga is a game played with wooden blocks
it is a lot of fun
no subject
I'm curious - explain the premise of the game?
no subject
you stack a tower with the blocks...
and then you take turns sliding blocks out of the tower!
without compromising the structural integrity enough to make it fall, i mean
and whoever makes it fall loses :D

Perhaps we should try an exchange of knowledge. Show me this Jenga of yours, and I'll teach you Long Tiffany.

when? :)

Yeah it doesn't work... I've been stuck with these clothes since this morning. [She pauses] It looks like something Felix would wear, actually...
no subject
Does it?
Perhaps we've been given others' wardrobes. It would account for the dramatic difference in style.

Who're you dressed as, then?
no subject
I'm not sure. The trousers are dark blue and as noted earlier, rather stiff. Then there's a shirt with buttons down the front and another, larger shirt made of the same material as the trouses - and the spectacles, of course.
And my hair seems to have been slicked back - [and he goes over to a mirror to squint at his reflection with a bit of a frown before coming back] - the effect is not unlike that of your sweetheart.

[she cracks up.]
Where do you live? Can I come see?
no subject
[Okay, maybe it is. It's not the greatest look for Gideon, but it's...certainly something.]
But I am curious to see your outfit. Come to the Impetus Tower - number 1609.

Gimme a few and I'll be right over!
[With that she snaps the journal shut and heads for the elevator... though these pants do make things a little interesting. She doesn't consider herself OVERLY feminine but she's always preferred skirts for a reason.]

Gideon?
[Oh right it's not like he can answer. Duh. She shakes her head, astounded at herself as she walks in, looking around. Her own clothes make it quite apparent who she's meant to be dressed as. When she catches sight of Gideon her face cracks into a grin and she claps a hand over her mouth to stifle her laughter]
Oh man. Oh man that's too much.

He doesn't have to cover his mouth, but he does smile in a clearly amused way. After he scratches out a message, he pats the sofa cushion next to him and hold out the tablet for Nora to read.]
Messire Harrowgate. A pleasure to see you.
no subject
Why thank you. It's always a pleasure to see you, as well, Mark.
[She looses it, cracking up and practically falling over onto the sofa next to him]

How are you finding your new clothes?
no subject
I don't know. They're okay. They just feel so stiff. [she chuckles] I don't usually wear this many layers, either. It's weird.
no subject
[These trousers are so rough, Nora. How do you people manage them?]
no subject
They just have to get broken in. Denim can be really soft once you beat it up some.
no subject
Long Tiffany? Is that meant to be the name of a game?

What card games do you generally play?

Gideon Thraxios. And yourself, messire?
