☼ [Dictated] ☼
I have found myself in the most curious sort of predicament. One moment, I was dead and the next, I am standing in the middle of what I can only describe as a room with a remarkable view. To further complicate matters, I have located this device which is all too foreign to me. Thankfully, I am in full possession of my wits - which are substantial - and I was able to turn it on.
[He pauses to let his words sink in before continuing, his tone as light and unassuming as ever:]
My name is Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, though that is rather much to remember. There was a time that I simply responded to Albus, so I think that shall do for the present time.
What I seek are answers and I will patiently await them until either they drift my way or I discover them on my own.

I must know what it looks like and in what direction I must travel. Of course I can make do with a direction if I have no other choice, but I might miss the intended mark by a short pace.

My room ought to have enough space. I could describe it if you like.
[ And let his room-mate know what he's planning- ]

Oddly enough, there's only vague references to color. ]
If that is insufficient...
[Action]
Wait. Don't answer that.
The lack of colors is interesting, though he doesn't question it. There could be many reasons why he leaves out colors.]
Allow me to give it a try.
[With a pop, he Disapparates and appears a few feet away from Duke, smiling faintly.]
I do hope I am in the right place.
[Action]
The cave definitely has colors, but it might be a bit clear that Duke is blind. At least, the way he seems to have trouble looking at the new arrival might be a big hint for that. ]
I am fairly sure you are.
[ Only there was a step missed, wasn't there. ]
... Duke. Susan may be finding your ankles in a moment.
[ That would be the cat. ]
[Action]
I am the only Albus Dumbledore I know. [He smiles and bows slightly.] Salutations, Duke.
[An amused sound leaves him when the cat finds him.]
She is welcome to judge me. Animals are excellent at reading others.
[Action]
They tend to be. Aina and Niffel are somewhere else, so if a large lizard or a cloud-and-bird come by, that would be them. They are usually quiet ... friendly.
[ If a bit motherly. Ah... What else was there- ]
... There ought to be a middling height outcropping....
[ Which direction it is in is left unsaid, as Duke turns and heads that way. And really, it looks more like the castle understood he wanted rocks, and made any furniture look like it. That should be more comfortable than sitting on the ground. ]
[Action]
I will welcome them should I see them, thank you for the forewarning.
[Perhaps Duke can stand for some mothering?]
I see it. [He moves to the outcropping and sits down, arranging his colorful robes around him.] I appreciate your hospitality.
[Action]
And more than he would like to admit. ]
... It is ... something that I am working on.
[ He's getting used to that people-can-be-nice thing, and figures he should reciprocate. Duke settles near-ish, shifting his long hair out of the way and tilting his head in thought. ]
Unless something has changed drastically within my magic....
[ He shakes a hand out, then taps his fingers on the air a moment. Dull red glowing script forms that long formula in the air, hopefully before them both. ]
Called the Rizomata formula, think already said that... And this section.... [ Depending how aware Dumbledore is with magic, he might feel the amount in the room concentrate a little, when Duke reaches out to swipe his fingers along a few lines, highlighting them with a brighter glow. ]
Is the part for gathering.
[Action]
I doubt your Magic has changed. [He gazes, raptly, at the script, studying it.] You did mention that.
[Slowly, he begins to nod.]
From what I can tell, you are gathering the necessities for the spell, correct?
[Action]
[ The script slides apart, and a warm golden color script fills in part of that space. It has a bunch of ranges scattered about in it, most of them variable at the moment. ]
Now it only gathers necessary for First Aid. It is a little slower, but has no reliance upon aids for casting.
[Action]
[Action]
Similar, I think. Forget what can be done without the aid, think that it all revolves around having one... and thus are completely useless when it is targeted.
[ He flicks his fingers and the golden script flies off, returning to the original one. Then the symbols reshuffle themselves a bit, and that center formula is more or less is inverted from the first formula. ]
This is the most common use of Rizomata. The ambient magic of my home had an unfortunate tendency to get too thick, which played havoc on much of the life.
[ With 'the life', he means plant-life, wildlife, humans, kritya-
Everything tended to run into problems when confronted with concentrated aer. ]
