I have found myself in the most curious sort of predicament. One moment, I was dead and the next, I am standing in the middle of what I can only describe as a room with a remarkable view. To further complicate matters, I have located this device which is all too foreign to me. Thankfully, I am in full possession of my wits - which are substantial - and I was able to turn it on.

[He pauses to let his words sink in before continuing, his tone as light and unassuming as ever:]

My name is Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, though that is rather much to remember. There was a time that I simply responded to Albus, so I think that shall do for the present time.

What I seek are answers and I will patiently await them until either they drift my way or I discover them on my own.

[ Remus had, until now, been going about his usual business; cruising around the library and traipsing about the castle with his friends. He certainly hadn't expected to be hearing the familiar voice of the Headmaster of Hogwarts through the journals and he's sort of taken aback by it.

It takes him a moment to fish his journal out and flip it open, before he answers back in a polite, but uncertain tone. ]

Err ... Professor Dumbledore?

I do believe it means "wolf power". It is, no doubt, either a name I inherited from some distant relation that my parents recalled or one they thought suited me.

I have often wondered why my parents chose so many names for me. It wasn't something they practiced with my siblings.

[Then again, he realizes he was pretty much remarkable from the beginning.]

I think the name of this place will suffice for now as well as a brief description on how I might go about acquiring a meal.

It is surprising. I hadn't a clue I would have so many answers. [A pleasant surprise to say the least.]

As far as I am aware, the view will remain remarkable until winter. And then it will be snowy and perhaps blinding.

[It takes Albus some time to...decode that. By the time he does, he is baffled. Why would anyone choose to write anything in that manner? Not to mention the color of ink chosen is nearly blinding.
