I have found myself in the most curious sort of predicament. One moment, I was dead and the next, I am standing in the middle of what I can only describe as a room with a remarkable view. To further complicate matters, I have located this device which is all too foreign to me. Thankfully, I am in full possession of my wits - which are substantial - and I was able to turn it on.

[He pauses to let his words sink in before continuing, his tone as light and unassuming as ever:]

My name is Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, though that is rather much to remember. There was a time that I simply responded to Albus, so I think that shall do for the present time.

What I seek are answers and I will patiently await them until either they drift my way or I discover them on my own.

I am cursed with a memory that forgets nothing, I'm afraid. [Which is very good, but complicated.] Indeed.

Paradisa, hm? Paradise. Does it live up to its name?

[Not really, actually, as it involves breeding people to be new bodies for her soul. But that's another story!]

Not particularly. I suppose, the castle could be considered so as it grants wishes, but it also feeds off of people's emotions and souls to get its power.

[...wow. He'll want to hear that story.]

I won't lie and say I'm not disappointed, however I did not expect this to go smoothly.

[If she'll tell it. But she has plenty of other casually awful stories about her world.]

Nothing here rarely does. I suppose I should also tell you that we're trapped on this world, until the castle chooses to send us back.

[As does he. They could share them over tea.]

I had expected as much, but it is not such a monumental sacrifice for me. I will return to the beyond... [He chuckles quietly.] ...when they deem my use has run its course.

[Oh, she likes tea.]

True. Not everybody stays for long, either.

[Who hates tea? Really? With lemon or honey? Come on.]

How long have you been here?

A year and a half, about. It will be two years in December.

...Though, I know a few people who have been here for five years.

I wouldn't call that a short amount of time.

Well, some people only stay for a month or two. Those are more...extreme.

Then there truly is no guessing how long my visit will be.

Probably not, no. No one really knows what the castle is going to do before it does it, and trying to figure it out never works.

I do like some mystery in my life.

Well, we can't know everything, can we?

How boring would that be?

Quite. Though, some peace and quiet can never go wrong.
