(Tylendel will only feel pride if he ever sees the full extent of Vanyel's powers. To him, the powers don't change his lover - they just help him protect others and himself, which is damn necessary when he has so many responsibilities riding on his shoulders. Being a Herald is dangerous enough; being at the beck and call of a King and a kingdom shortens one's life considerably. Vanyel's powers will hopefully ensure he lives longer and that's all Tylendel cares about.
He wrinkles his brow, sighing a bit when his lover insists on helping him to the tub.)
I want to be back to normal quickly. (And somehow that explains trying to walk to the tub on his own.) I haven't greeted you properly anyway.
(Once he's settled in the tub, he makes room for Vanyel and gazes at him longingly.)
We should do that again, though I won't hurt your ankle this time. (It seems like ages since they had teased one another. Seeing Vanyel's smile causes Tylendel to reach out for him.)
I don't know if I can clean myself. I might need...some help.
