... Are there those without magic, or who do not believe in such things, who would be willing to aid me in testing something? Those with magic would be welcome as well, but the focus of this would be greatly reliant on those without magic of belief.

[ And no, he's not going to explain what he wants some non-magical person or person who doesn't believe in magic to do for him. ]

If anyone is interested, I am out.... around the side with the pool. If there is any need for help in locating me, I have white hair.

Of a sort, yes.

What kind? Can you turn people into frogs?

A much more... boring kind.

[ Where would the rest of the person go, if he turned them into a frog? Wouldn't that barely be half-a-hand worth of person-weight to make frog. ]

I heal, and do a variety of things with elements.

We were called mages, at .. home, although here they are interchangeable... so yes.

Does it count if you think there's no such thing as magic but that there is actually a scientific explanation for everything, even if nobody understands what it is yet?

Yes. Own magic is generally fairly closely tied to math, but the effects produced often fall under that, even if nowhere near miracles and cure-alls.

[Blues is curious enough about this to take a walk out to the pool. He wont necessarily say anything at first as he just intended to watch. But his footsteps are pretty heavy, so it's hard not to hear him coming.]

[ Hear him Duke does, although he isn't sure if its someone here to help him with his idea or not.

So Duke just turns his head slightly toward these steps. He heard you, and he isn't scrunched up in an attempt to make himself look closed off for conversation.

Then it may not be terribly surprising that I am not familiar with anything called 'demons', in my home. In stories, perhaps yes.

It was an idea that someone had worked on, home, but this way is less visible intimidation factor.

... I have some minor spells in a basket. Very low level things. Wish to know - is it my expectation that produces the effect, or if tossing them hard enough to shatter does produce the effect, regardless of the abilities of the one who tosses.

[ So he's getting non-magical, or non-believing in magic-people to test it for him. ]

I see. You are trying to test if stored spells will work for those without magic.

Yes. If they can be stored, and work for those without magic, will they work when mages aren't mages any longer?

Possibly... but what if the world changes are like the Dead Zone? Anything and everything magical is nullified?

Magic being nullified does not sound of instant activation. In that case, they would be as a stone, or something a little less sturdy.

[It'll take a little while. Blues is perfectly fine with awkward silences, but he'll eventually speak up.]
