[It's been a while since Lloyd showed his face around. He's making an effort to be at least a little more cheerful than last time.]

Hey. Things are pretty slow on my end, so I wanted to remind everyone that I can make things. I've almost saved up enough to start my own shop but I'm not there yet.

So here's the deal. I don't have much experience with armor or weapons, but I can make just about anything else. If you want a handmade gift for someone, or maybe you just need something practical to help you find your way around the castle, I can do it. Usually I make jewelry, but while I've been here, I've made furniture, music boxes, keychains, a quarterstaff, tools... things like that.

Without my dad teaching me, I have to continue learning somehow. So if there's something you want me to make, just let me know.

[When Gale gets there, he's greeted by a howl. A ten-foot-fall green and white wolf comes barreling out of the stable, excited beyond all reason.

Drawn by the noise, there's a door slam from the shed attached to the stable. Lloyd runs out after.]

Whoa! Noishe, calm down!

[ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh geez. Gale's gaze goes up and up and up. Noishe is a lot bigger than even Lady was, when Alayne would visit him. but if he's someone's pet, he's not in any danger. but he stays still, until Lloyd can get things under control]

Wow.

[Lloyd is quick. He hops a little fence and latches onto Noishe before he can run excited circles around this new friend. One hand curled in fur, Lloyd extends the other to Gale for a handshake.]

Sorry about that. I didn't expect Noishe to get out.

[Noishe is happy enough to stand here and pant excitedly now, though he keeps trying to lean forward and lick the side of Gale's head. omg noishe pls]

It's okay. [Gale's eyes leave Noishe just long enough to notice and reciprocate the handshake] .... I've never seen a dog this big before. Is he some kind of Pokemon?

[gentleidealist]

[He shakes his head.] Nah, he's from my world. Some elves said he was some kind of ancient animal, but he's really just a dog to me.

[At least he acknowledges Noishe isn't like a NORMAL dog... just a really big one. A really, really big one.

By the way, Noishe is leaning in suddenly to lick right up the side of Gale's face.]

Oops. He likes you more than I thought.

...Ancient? How old is h--

[and then, he's unceremoniously licked. thankfully, since he was already reassured of Noishe's harmlessness, he's not about to flip out. it's just ... well ... really slimy. he raises an eyebrow at the "puppy"]

I like you too, but was that really necessary?

I dunno. Pretty old, I guess.

[Noishe pants happily like a big docile Great Dane.]

Dad's a craftsman too. He probably thinks you smell like home.

Oh yeah? Is that where you learned it all from? [now that he's de-slobbered, he reaches up and pets Noishe on the neck. good giant green ancient puppything]

[Noishe loveeesss youuu. Look at that big wet nose, smearing all over Gale's hand. Lloyd chuckles, unable to help himself.]

Yeah, Dad taught me everything! He's a dwarf, so he's really good at it.

A dwarf? Is that what they call carpenters where you're from?

[Gale, you have been here over two years now. LEARN SOME THINGS, good lord. he has no problem giving Noishe scritches behind his ears, though, especially since he's tall enough to reach]

You've never heard of dwarves? Heh... that's different. Usually people ask how I'm so tall if my dad's a dwarf.

[Noishe's big ol' tongue hangs out as he leans into the scritches.]

They're people who live mostly underground. Dad lives in the forest, though.

I haven't, no. ... What do they do underground, are they miners? I used to live in a mining town.

Yeah. Miners and craftsmen!
