Open Post: Gryffindor and Ravenclaw

Gryffindor
[your common room is hidden behind the portrait of the Fat Lady. She will only open for you if you give the password. Once inside, you will get to hang out with lots of comfortable seats and a cheerful fire. The colors are in gold and red, all very warm and welcoming.

If any Gryffindors have issues, your Head of House will be around to help you!]

Ravenclaw
[your common room is up in a tower. An eagle doorknocker will only let you inside if you answer a riddle. The colors here are a cool blue. It can be a bit chilly because of being so high]

[Oh, he's just openly staring now, so sorry.]

...Yes? No. I mean- Galadriel? [And he rushes around the table for a closer look at her with a hesitant smile on his face.]

[nerwen]

[She nods, a faint smile creeping on to her own face.] Even I was young once, Doctor.

[toobravehearted]

You were! Yes, you were. Just look at you. [A broad smile for her, forgive the situation, but he's a little awed.]

Safety. Books! [And he's rushing back around the table for what came out of his bag.]

[nerwen]

[Oh, you. She actually gives a little laugh.] You seem to have adapted swiftly.

[toobravehearted]

[He gives her a smile for her laugh, glad to have improved her mood. His is still decidedly on the dour side, but maybe her laugh has improved his as well. He picks up the book he tossed and riffles through the others scattered on the table.]

Young bodies are quite resilient and cope easily with change. Not to infer that there is an enjoyment of said change, for there is not. Now, where was I? Before we go out there, we have a feast of information here, and it would be prudent to familiarise ourselves with it.

If any of this may shed light on where we are, I have no objection.

[Picking up one of the books, it looks like a student's homeroom exercise book, with 'Hogwarts' and a crest on the cover and he shows Galadriel.] That sounds familiar. Have you heard of that before?

[nerwen]

[She shakes her head] I may have heard the name in passing, but it means little to me.

[toobravehearted]

[He pauses and searches through memory.] I'm sure I've heard that recently. In the last-- fifty years at least. It'll come to me in a moment. Wherever it is, that's where we are. And we also know that magic plays a part here, although what kind exactly...

[And then the penny drops.] Yes, of course, that's it. Do you know of a Hermione?

[nerwen]

I do. [Aaaand it clicks.] That is where I have heard the name. Of course.
