[your common room is hidden behind the portrait of the Fat Lady. She will only open for you if you give the password. Once inside, you will get to hang out with lots of comfortable seats and a cheerful fire. The colors are in gold and red, all very warm and welcoming.

If any Gryffindors have issues, your Head of House will be around to help you!]

[your common room is up in a tower. An eagle doorknocker will only let you inside if you answer a riddle. The colors here are a cool blue. It can be a bit chilly because of being so high]

How would you propose moderation in this situation?

I would propose that you use your talents in a manner that does not involve running headlong into danger. It is possible to contribute something without placing your life in peril.

I don't seek out trouble.

You went on the last expedition, did you not? Were you armed? Did you inform someone capable of protecting you that you were going?

I didn't get hurt during that.

[Of course he'd gone on that expedition with his arm in a sling, thanks to a brief trip home and some shrapnel from the explosion.]

You asked for an instance in which you were not cautious; I provided one.

It isn't a good example, because I was cautious during that.

I have never argued otherwise, only that you have certain limitations; limitations which you seem determined to disregard.
