dictated + action for anyone interested!
[ Isaac spent literally the entire day sleeping off a bout of wolfsbane poisoning that he isn't actually aware of, and he's still kinda out of it as a result, so he'll freak out way harder about the mysterious new locale later. Right now he's starving, so he smells his way down to where all the food is and pokes around the kitchen lethargically in a white t-shirt and sweatpants, hair messy and feet bare, looking for snacks. He's the very picture of dignity; someone come say hi and he'll reach stuff on the tall shelves for you! ]
[ Apparently, Isaac eventually gets his hands on some food, because you can hear the crunching of something loud like chips over the open page. He's even marginally more aware now! ]
Okay, so I'm going to feel really stupid if this doesn't actually work, but hello? Anyone?
... I should have brought a pen. And some sanity.

Re: Action
You really are. But ... don't be scared. [She looked up at him, her gaze serious.] This place is messed up, but there are good people here. We'll help you, we'll take care of you, and we'll show you how to defend yourself. And ...[she looked down at her boots, smiling a little.] People will be here to give you a reason to live life, and not just survive.
Action
It's nice, which is not a thing that happens. People aren't nice, and they don't offer help strange gangly teenagers with bed head and no shoes, not unless they're Scott who is quite possibly a little bit insane (in the best way.) The talk of living versus surviving makes his stomach feel like it wants to squirm out of place and take up residence near his toes, because Isaac doesn't talk about stuff like that. Acknowledging his damage just makes things so awkward, makes him feel powerless; but it doesn't seem like she's judging him, or pitying him, or anything, really. It seems like she's talking about herself.
So he nods, a little slowly at first, a little carefully, and then with more enthusiasm. ] Okay. Okay, that's-- cool. [ He doesn't say I want that so bad, even though he does. ]
Re: Action
But Gale learned how to live, not just survive, and now she's trying to too. She wants Issac to know he's safe here, that he can do the same. But mostly ... yeah. She's talking about herself.]
[She smiled then, something bright, before she gently touched his arm and turned him back to the woods, pointing towards her cabin.] I live out there, but I run the shooting range closer to town. You need anything, you shout in the journal. I'll find you. If you just need to get out? Come and find me. Okay?
Action
It takes him a second, but eventually he remembers himself and inhales, glancing back out towards where she'd pointed. ] Why do you live out there? Did you not get a room of your own here?
Re: Action
I have my own room. I prefer to live out there. [She looked out to the woods, her grey eyes quiet.] The castle feels like ... it feels like a pretty trap. It's got all the bait, and occasionally it closes in on me. [She rolled her eyes.] But even living out there, I still get pulled in. And sometimes, I have to stay here in the castle. I can show you where it is, in case of emergencies.
