[ though she managed to escape robb's supervision, arya is not alone. a gray wolf pup with golden eyes darts constantly between her legs. robb told her the pup's name is nymeria and arya loves her already. grey wind follows both. he assigned himself as their guard, and has been growling in warning at anyone who might come close. ]

Stop it. You're being silly.

[ arya chastises him after one time too many. she has been trying to make winterfell out of pillows and blankets. all she needs to do is ask the air and she gets as many pillows as she may want. she has already got the double walls done, and is trying to figure out how to make the great hall stay up. but grey wind continues interrupting.

she puts her hands on her hips and narrows her eyes at the offending beast. he huffs and bumps her. not expecting it, she falls. nymeria yelps, barely getting out of the way. arya sits stunned on the floor before rounding on grey wind. ]

Grey Wind, you stupid! I almost fell on Nymeria! No, don't kiss me now. I don't want— Don't— [ the rest is lost in a fit of giggles. ]

Henry takes the sticks from her and starts wiggling them around on the floor, arranging them so that they'll be as sturdy as possible. It takes a few tries, but he props things up pretty well, making his way around the wall.]

Not there. [ she points. ] The godswood is there.

[He rearranges them so that the wall curves according to what he hopes is her standards.]

What's the godswood?

[He's always wanted to know more about Winterfell. This is as good a time as any to ask.]

You don't have to go to Winterfell. Every castle has one. Even the south has them. [ she looks troubled now. where does he pray if not a godswood? ]

I haven't been to any castles either. Besides this one.

[He doesn't go that often. And by that often, ever.

It's a building where people can go to pray. Sometimes they have, like, services and stuff on Sundays.

It's really quiet, and you have to dress nice for it.

Do you mean a sept? You can go to sept whenever you want. [ not just sunny days. like. henry. come on. ]

I don't know, maybe? You can go to churches whenever you want, they just have services on Sundays.

That's the only place I know about where people pray, though.
